Issue importing word shearwall schedule into Rich Text
DRAWZILLA replied to RL-inc's topic in General Q & A
Are you pasting to a text box, worked perfect for me. everything like the original. -
I know the Chief provided ones don't cut the cabinet, they just sit on the counter and you have to manually move it and repair the cab.

Try pasting with "paste special" -
Windows will not cut to the roof , you need a custom window or a symbol. Walls should cut to the roof
-
Simple, for the red one, just remove the back roof planes and drag the front roof planes to the back and set the side wall shown to balloon frame and remove the balcony's, hit f12 to rebuild For the green one , not sure what you want to do.
-
Do you have auto, wall, floor/ ceiling, and roof framing on? That might eliminate some of the problems, I always leave those things on until it gets to a point that you have to frame manually.
-
Try to hit the f12 key and everything should re-build for you.
-
Yes, it's there
-
You have a good system too. This shouldn't happen. Are you using windows 7,8, 10 ? I see you have 8.1, me too. I have noticed it's still a little slow at times, at least not as fast as it used to be.

right click on the file and go to property's, and its at the bottom
-
Yes, chief has fixed it a long time ago for me.

If he left, I would drive up there and , well, you know.

Sometimes it doesn't work, but most of the time it does.

stone walls with rounded interior window jambs
DRAWZILLA replied to Dennis_Gavin's topic in General Q & A
I know Scott has several video's on this , check his YouTube channel. We did it with a double wall system but forgot exactly how. -
Change it in the room DBX under Ceiling finish or the ceiling plane DBX or the roof plane bottom finish depending on what it is.

I always have 2 plans, one new and one existing, that way I can send both to the layout . I first draw the existing and save as existing, then continue with the new portion and that's the plan that I cut cameras and sections from. Of course, all that is already sent to the layout and generates as I draw it. Fast and easy once set up. And if the homeowner completely changes their mind , I can start over with the existing plan or use the existing plan for a different job the has the same floor plan as the first one. I have done that a lot.

You can also change the cad block to reflect what you want, and re-attach it to the lite. I just add "led" to the cad block, then you don't need the label.
-
Looks like a gutter or piece of shadow board to me, Turn those on in plan view and delete it or re-build you roof planes, It might be on the roof trim layer. Check you roof plane DBX for something that shouldn't be there. Or post it.

ok , checked your drawing, just re-build your terrain and it shows up. (edit) I see you beat me to it, glad it works now.

Check the height of the driveway, it could be below grade, so you wouldn't see it.

How to build exterior stairs that follow the terrain
DRAWZILLA replied to Riemie's topic in General Q & A
Darn it, I thought Yusuf had something good. -
They are not turned on in the camera layer set.

I put the Cal Green stuff (PDF)on just about every plan I do, and they have been 20 plus pages total. Haven't seen any problems yet, but it does take a while to print. Sometimes, if you have Adobe Acrobat , you can reduce the file size by re-saving it using the reduce file size option. I don't notice any difference in quality and works good.
