as long as the block is checked as (by block layer) no problem changing anything

No problem, I just use my method b/c, when I started to use Chief, I installed all my thousands of details from another program and didn't have time to re-draw any of them.So I imported them, turns out there was some fix-up, anyway, so I did it a little each day.

Larry I really didn't look at anything else and saw what you are talking about, try to drag an extension around the corner, or you might need to use a symbol there. good luck. I have never tried it before just like that. Jon I just locked all the deck framing in the layerset and made sure that the rebuild deck was unchecked.

Larry, here is your plan fixed, I built the deck then locked all deck framing and planks then dragged the roof plane back against the wall. DECK OVER ROOF 1 fixed.plan

Right now there is no organization method other than what you name them, but we have been asking for some folder type property's to be added to Ruby. You could just copy all your notes to a macro and that's it. Just try to keep your names straight for now

You can put them anywhere you want even in the layout, as Joe was saying. they are not plan specific. Copy or import your macros to your template plans and layout as you want, if you just copy a bunch of text macros to another plan, the macro automatically comes along for the ride. Try it, just copy the macro text from another plan to your plan and you are done. Similar to copying walls, the wall definition auto comes along for the ride

You can copy a fill using the eyedropper from the appropriate DBX

I put notes that I use all the time in a simple text macro, the good thing about that ,is when you change the macro note it automatically changes everything in the plan and layout also. Change one place only.

Maybe Jonny was talking about himself as an intermediate , that seems correct.

The arrow problem is much better than it used to be , but it still happens from time to time.

I remember before Anno-sets, it was a real big pain to annotate anything, and have said ,it could be the most time saving feature ever developed, been using them since they started and never looked back. we also wanted something like this for a long time.
