You can also call it a balcony and use walls under it if you want.

Guys, for me, the sections do not have to be exact, because I direct all of the footings to a detail which explains it all. It would be nice to get it all exact but Chief isn't there yet. Anyway, sections are just a representational drawing for floor, ceiling heights, I don't detail those, its the details that really matter.

Of course, all we do is suggest, whether Chief does it is out of our hands. I do slabs every day without problems but not like Joe wants
-
Yes, Scott, you can make the footings as deep as you want but not automatically. As with a lot of things in Chief automatic will only take you so far then you need to turn it off and finish manually

What's the easiest way to up-side-down a stock crown molding?

Good, I assumed you knew the process. Sometimes I assume too much. -

I think you have to draw a new profile by just flipping the existing one. -
You can find it here

I always start with the auto roofs on, then at some point I have to turn it off ,and manually repair them to get what I need. Auto roofs are just a starting point, especially with lots of different levels.

I have the Performance MX and my rechargeable batteries last 1 day., they said 1 week normal use. I use it all day every day, that must not be normal use.

You can also take a straight on picture of it and convert that to a texture.

The typical way of drawing a remodel, for me, is to draw the existing first, then save as new remodel. I keep them as separate plans and send each to the layout. Never have any problems doing that. Funny thing though, I didn't extensively test the layout and I didn't see any problems, but my setup is different than most. Could be a setting.

Not sure, but I think it's the quadro card that is the problem. Chief has always said that a good gaming card is preferred. I'll download your plans and test it with my gaming card. Edit, not slow on my system, and I am very weak in the CPU department as compared to you.. Do you have an NVidia card handy to try it?

Remember the brick ledge only works for slabs, not raised floors. If you are using raised wood floors You need to create a stem wall def. with a brick exterior. For slabs, you can also change the brick ledge distance in the wall def DBX.

yippee,, what a country. -
All of my text is controlled in the layerset for quick access. I never have that problem. Scott is actually a very nice guy, he really wants to help you, but doesn't want to spend all day guessing at it.

A workaround for now is, use a ramp and remove the floor in the Garage
-
When you say Remodel, is it just interior remodel or are you adding on new rooms and changing the exterior?
-
Agree w/ Joey, might be the video card. try to update or at least let us know what video card you use, makes a difference.

I use a cad block anno-set for quick access if needed

Thanks Joe, very nice. Are you using arrows and do they stick.
