  1. I know a lot of people were looking for battered walls, Chief can't do that without major workarounds.
  2. Get ready for crazy California codes and brutal plan checks.
  3. I see this sometimes and have to copy my text, refresh the page, and paste back then it works. Using I.E.
  4. I use lots of full 24x36 pdf's in my layouts without any slowdown except printing to pdf might take a little longer. Always put them in your layout and not the plan .
  5. Thanks Greg, I didn't know that. I'm thinking you still have to download from the catalog individually.
  6. I try to keep colors on the dark side, b/c the light ones won't print good in grayscale, they could disappear.
  7. ok, don't listen to me , I though it was a different version.
  8. You can always stop the video along the way, and look at things a little closer.
  9. Only case I know about, would be when you have Island rooms, rooms must connect to an exterior wall. Chief does that automatically for you. You can put those on a different layer and turn off.
  10. Alan Do you have it to use printer memory or computer memory? How much memory is in the printer? If not much memory in your printer, change to use computer memory. Not sure if those settings are still in hp's drivers though. It really helped the speed for me. Plot drivers create large files. Try the pdf first method.
  11. The manual is good for the basic tools and getting started, but if you need a workaround for something that is not in the manual, this is the place to come. Early on, if it wasn't for Scott, I'd still be wondering how to draw a common slab floor.
  12. No in house for me anymore, it just takes too long to do, when I could be drawing. Unless you have many thousands of dollars to spend, the lower end machines are just too slow, and when you have 5-20 page sets to print, it just takes too long for me. You could also use an old computer to print, that might help.
  13. I LIKE TESTING b/c I just can't wait for all the new goodies, and refuse to. It hurts me so bad to know someone has tools I don't have.
  14. I have my grids set to 1/4" and that covers just about everything.
  15. Greg, Thank you my friend, we all try to help others, b/c, that's what we do. I don't get everything correct, (Glen does) but he is a god, must be. I don't think I will ever retire b/c I love what I do. The only thing that bugs me is the codes get more complicated every year, and the plans need more pages all the time.
  16. I hear that name ,(Omaha), for some reason every time Denver plays.
