Vent Baffles ?

This picture shows insulation in the ceiling but it could also have it between the rafters.  You would just need a 1" space between insulation and the bottom of the sheathing.  Some builders will use masonite tacked in place between the rafters to insure the gap stays clear.

I use a detail similar to Tom. Our code up here in Canada specifies the same minimum 1" space between the roof sheathing and the baffle. The baffle also needs to extend a min. 2" vertically above the insulation.

ARCAT is web site which has a compilation of many brand name vendors from all the various divisions of construction.

It's a helpful source for product details (in CAD):  https://www.arcat.com/products/building_products_categories.shtml

These came up in roof vent categories:

I used 2" rigid insulation under 1 x 2 , along with a vertical piece with pitch cut , then foamed all the cracks - insulation is only good as the dead air that it occupies - drive around on a cold wintry day and see how many houses have ice cycles hanging - you won't find them on our house -

"cardboard between the rafters" product are available at the big orange store here. you just fold the sides and the friction holds them in. cheap, easy. and I've seen them a lot here

I believe technically they are only required for loose fill. I specify roxul batt for most additions, and as such only specify the min 1" gap above the insulation in the detail

What are you using to insulated between the rafters? Are you spraying foam? I prefer to get the insulation at the roof plane and then leave the attic as conditioned space. If you have an attic space are you using that for mechanical? If so, get that into the conditioned envelope and get rid of the vented roof space. Better for stopping fire embers entering also. Those Vulcan vents are expensive.
