  1. don't forget that solar panels are required for a.d.u's in California
  2. already knew all that ,all I'm trying to say is an easy way to copy a cad detail for future use, just forgot to say block it first. I have thousands of details in my lib. Never a problem
  3. yes I have also seen this and not sure why it's happening, please send it in to tech support.
  4. or place the cad detail in your lib. and get it anytime you want to.
  5. As with anything, the devil is in the details, that connection should be referenced to a detail, don't worry about getting the model perfect, which cannot be done without spending too much time doing it.
  6. Sorry but I am not sure what you are saying, the walls will always go to the roof plane, depending on the roof plane height, which is the plate height plus the rafter height going straight up
  7. did you verify all your baseline heights are correct for the roof and ceiling planes?
  8. are floor surfaces turned on in camera view?
  9. 2 walls can occupy the same space if one wall is marked as no room def. Just draw the railing wall and slide it into place.
  10. leave your garage slab as is and manually add a slab to be level with the curb. You will se both in section view
  11. try to thicken up your roof material or your model is too far from absolute zero
  12. for the landing, like Michael said earlier , post the plan so someone could play around with it to see for sure rather than guessing.
  13. Do you have that railing wall def marked as a partition wall?
  14. I think Joe has the answer, The automatic label just doesn't work for what I need. thanks for the effort Michael , I tried it your way it just isn't what I need.
  15. Joe do you have a header label macro for x13 that shoes new vs existing ? lvl-psl ect. I'm tired of things changing all the time using Chiefs macros.

  16. I realize I can go through and change every header to get what I need but there is no way to do it easily and chief actually makes it harder and more time consuming than it needs to be. I will usually draw the as-built first than change all my defaults to draw the new design--new vs, existing. When changing the (n) vs. (e) all the window header labels will change to new, even the existing ones. So I can't use the header default labels. I must always have that unchecked unless using a macro like Scott Hall shows earlier. I guess Michael doesn't have one. Does Joe Carrick have one?
  17. when doing a second floor over existing there are some point loads bearing on the existing headers all the time, so we need to install a new header there. pretty simple happens all the time
  18. no, what Dermot shows is the hardwired automatic label . What shows is to much info for the plan view. I just want "4x6 hdr and what type of lumber PSL--LVL . I know you can create a label to show that but not the default and non-default labels at the same time and of course new and existing.
  19. so Dermot, what you show doesn't work for me as I need the nominal size not the automatic label in all labels new and existing.
  20. The 3060 comes out at the end of the month for $395 ,at least they say.
  21. I AM LOOKING ALSO, BUT GOOD LUCK FINDING A 3000 SERIES NVIDIA CARD ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW. The 3060 will be available at the end of Feb. for $395.00 at least that's what they advertise.
  22. I just wish we could just adjust the start and end indicators and not every label in the plan
  23. Anyone know what setting makes the s&f larger, they are awful small
