Make sure you don't mix resolutions with different monitors 1080p or 4k for all, but don't mix or it will not let the lower resolution go full screen
-
Could be a lot of reasons for slowness, call tech support and they can help you better than guessing what it might be.
-
I had this problem when I got a new 4k monitor with a different resolution. I did have to change each one by opening and closing. It happened mainly to blocked cad details and not unblocked text. That's why templates are important you only need to fix it once. This has happened to me a few times over the 15+ years I have been with Chief.

try turning off grid snaps to move more freely. or change the grid snaps.

unless you want an easy way to print in color, that's what I do. I never print in grayscale. This gives clients their option ,color or greyscale.
-
That feature has been there forever, well at least as long as I have been around. you also need to print in color and set your print driver to greyscale.
-
Have you tried this, then use grayscale in your printer setup, you can also turn color off to see what you get.

Sometimes the site data macros just won't update and all I get is a blank site data analysis, I then have to restart chief and everything is ok . Doesn't do it every time , just sometimes.

Well I don't know any framer that wants to use trusses unless it's a new stand alone project, they are all aware of the price but it doesn't phase them at all. They have all been around forever and I have drawn for them over 45 years. they also aren't just framers, they build the whole project ,sell it and pay for it. Maybe its different where you are.
-
In the remodeling field we never use trusses and contractors here don't want them for several reasons, the existing house isn't square, the framer then must cut each rafter to work. Drawings are mostly hand measured so it could be off there also. there are no exact measurements. If I do have trusses on a plan it just to show the existing trusses, but the new is always stick built.

turn on the Deck framing layers
-
Looks to me like you could use a shelf ceiling there/. if you used walls for that fireplace, it becomes a room
-
I have done it a few times over the years without any problems
-
how about adding (N), (E) to the room name, I;'ve been doing it that way for many years. add an explanation to the heading
-
Or just add existing or new to the room name (E), (N). It will show in the room finish schedule.

Yes I do call the exact floor I need to display and always have, never had any problems with it.
