  1. I have been using liquid cooling for about 20 years now, luckily no problems.
  2. I have a remarkable 1 for all my field notes and measurements and love it, no paper needed ever, and its all stored on the cloud. Also prints in pdf.
  3. i actually like the stream deck much better than finding the tools in a toolbar or dropdown, less clicks for me for sure.
  4. I did try using a Disto and room planner several times, it took me 3 times as long to measure, not for me either. But it was good to transfer it directly into Chief. Room planner had no way to take the outside measurements also.
  5. Larry, my wife Penny does all my measurements and gathering up all the information along with about 200 pictures and I'm good to go. Sometimes I will have a question, but the photos will most of the time tell me what I need. She will also crawl into an attic and take photos. She is a lot more limber than I.
  6. to find out the layer of anything, just select it and open it and go to the layer tab to see where it's kept or change it to any layer you want. Or you can select anything and look at the bottom of the screen and see what layer it's on without having to open anything.
  7. Sorry, i don't get into anything more than 3 stories, but they can be detailed. I never do any commercial either. Not sure how chief would handle that.
  8. I have a 3060 24 gb, and it works just fine for me
  9. @Joe_CarrickJoe, do you see any problems moving to X15 when it's ready, is there any changes needed with your system. Thanks
  10. what really matters is that I add all the square footages for my square footage price. For the cities, it might differ from that depending on the city, I usually have to check with them. 50 different cities are too much especially when they change constantly and often, even amongst different plan checkers in the same city
  11. Joe, all I have to say is "wow", this is perfect for me. you have done a lot of work on this. thanks
  12. that's a new one for me so far, hope it never happens around here
  13. i have been going to the outside of the stud wall-no finish, and have been forever, the cities seem to allow it.
  14. sometimes errant line will go away when you actually print it.
  15. the roof plane cannot go past the outside of the stucco or problems will happen, so just pull the roof plane back to the outside of the stucco
  16. thank you, sir, you are always there, and we are better off for that.
  17. Does anyone have the fix-it list for yesterday's update to x14. I usually forget to get that.
  18. I have almost your same setup and no slowness, but it all depends what kind of projects you have going on and what's in them
  19. I use carbonite without any slow problems, but I think it might be that I have a gig speed internet
  20. WOW GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, mine is basic with the most used tools
  21. I really \like my Streamdeck 32 although I'm sure it not as extensive as yours. Never liked using hotkeys
  22. I would just open the old plan in the newest version and repair as needed, I do it all the time. Or trace the old plan in the newest version. I just can't go back; my mind is set for the newest.
