  1. I do mono slabs all the time and they look pretty good; I think you just need to learn more about it. There is almost always some sort of manually adjusting after auto building to get it the way you want. One hint I use is to put a room label on each room of the foundation with the floor height listed so I can look instantly and see if the height is correct. I noticed the interior footings are not in your chief generated plan, you just have to check the box to have a footing in the wall DBX. and it will auto generate when you build the foundation or it's very easy to add them manually.
  2. Tool heck with the texture, where can I get that house for 229,000.
  3. just add a sand pattern to your stucco material, it will show in vector views
  4. Add a sand fill to the stucco material
  5. I have and love the Autonomous 6' desk that I have automatic Hight with a push of a button https://www.autonomous.ai/standing-desks https://www.autonomous.ai/standing-desks sorry I just realized you want a model of a desk, check the lib. there are some there
  6. use the stairs tool and just change the material to brick, stair tool comes with railing you can modify as needed.
  7. For me, I would just use the cad as a blocked background and trace the walls using Chief
  8. hey DB, you say you have been around a long time, and I believe you b/c you have the knowledge. but who are you, do I know you? Just wondering.
  9. looks like a white ledgestone type material to me.
  10. fyi, joe's way is also very easy to understand, and you know I'm no macro guru.
  11. golf is good for me, but this other stuff isn't today i got 64 of them. Funny this all started when db cooper started posting.
  12. for me, I just move the camera outside of the terrain, and add a dirt material to the skirt. unless the terrain is all over the place
  13. outlets should attach to every side of a cabinet using a surface mount outlet or you can place a railing wall behind the cabinet. sorry I just noticed you are using X10, I don't think they had surface mount elect yet, If I remember correctly there was a cabinet mount section. Back then I would just insert a cad block for that.
  14. i would do it using a note on the plans
  15. the problem may not look correct in preview mode but just go ahead and print it and see if it prints ok. that's how I do it.
  16. I use SnagIt 2022 paid version but not expensive. https://www.techsmith.com/
  17. the ceiling plane method will stop the walls on the first floor at the ceiling plane level. for the exterior walls to go to the 2nd floor stop the ceiling plane at the inside drywall, the exterior wall will continue to the upper floor joists. good for 2nd floor addition overbuilds. When I don't need the show the floor joists on the architectural sections I will use the single floor system method b/c the framing plans will show the different directions. Aproblem using the ceiling plane method is that it messes with your ceiling heights in the room label and you must set that msnually.
  18. You need the very latest update you can get from tech support; it just came out Wednesday. 24.2.1.2 it fixed the printing problem for me.
  19. try an exterior framing layer for the batts, some people use that method.
  20. You could try a ceiling plane for the lower ceiling, the direction is controlled by the way you draw it. Use a ceiling hole if you have stairs
  21. try the .latest x14 update put out yesterday, Chief did a fix for screen scaling if it's over 100.
  22. open those railing walls and check bearing wall and the add footing tab then re-build the foundation
