  1. Generally, walls will go up to meet the roof or follow a ceiling height setting. Don't know your situation but if you set your ceiling to 8' and the roof baseline to 10' then you can use the balloon through ceiling to automatically get the wall to 10' high, baseline height is set to the plate height plus the vertical depth of the rafter. It's all in the roof DBX.
  2. I would try a wall material region using a frosted glass from the lib.
  3. I did have cataracts but the latest and greatest was 5000 per eye extra so I went cheap
  4. Yep ,I got the cheap ones, distance vision only, wish I could do it again.
  5. Hay ,Joe, i also have the implants but near vision suffers, need glasses
  6. I have 2- 43" 4k monitors, plenty of space for photos,pdf's, lib's.
  7. Just a guess but maybe the slab is below the terrain?
  8. You can also create multiple schedules separating outlets, lights, switches. or however you want by checking what to include in that schedule.
  9. I use a separate layer set for sending elevations to the layout, with windows and roofs and walls line-weights set larger than any plan view. This gives it more pop. You can also adjust the actual material line weights as needed
  10. General rule of thumb is, attic walls will not build if no wall exists below it.
  11. i think it comes from using different resolutions between computers
  12. Just open it and close it usually fixes it.
  13. I know Alienware does a lot to fine tune their systems, like manufacturing their own motherboards for a better working experience without bottlenecks. the extra cost IMO is worth it. I'm on my 6th one now.
  14. I have been using windows 11 for a year now without those problems so far, not sure what's going on with your system
  15. did you check in the task manager under services? if its there , you, need to turn it off perinatally from computer management .
  16. every computer I have ever got from Alienware (6) has needed windows and Alienware updates every time, also to turn off Nahimic services. You may have already done this though. I recently got a new computer with a dead ssd drive but they came to me and fixed it.
  17. Sounds like you lost room definition somewhere. check your wall connections and make sure you do not have "no room definition" checked in any of those walls.
  18. I also have a 3060 12gb card and use it without any problems. at the tine it was the only one I could get but cost me $1300. work good for me
  19. Larry, virtual is before you actually create the slab using the add foundation tool. When using mono-slabs Chief will give you a fake slab in render views as long as this room has a floor is checked
  20. Nice solution Steve, I turned this in many years ago but never fixed. thanks
  21. Also, if the stem wall height is different than the slab height, then you create a curb, like in a garage. For all the changes to work auto rebuild slab (virtual-not real) must be on until you are ready to build the real slab. Also check room defaults because with lots of different levels, rooms will build at the default level on rebuild. with your situation you will not want defaults checkbox checked because the rooms all have a different level.
  22. It would be great if they were automatically installed but unfortunately you have to do them manually using multiple copy.
