  1. did you check in the task manager under services? if its there , you, need to turn it off perinatally from computer management .
  2. every computer I have ever got from Alienware (6) has needed windows and Alienware updates every time, also to turn off Nahimic services. You may have already done this though. I recently got a new computer with a dead ssd drive but they came to me and fixed it.
  3. Sounds like you lost room definition somewhere. check your wall connections and make sure you do not have "no room definition" checked in any of those walls.
  4. I also have a 3060 12gb card and use it without any problems. at the tine it was the only one I could get but cost me $1300. work good for me
  5. Larry, virtual is before you actually create the slab using the add foundation tool. When using mono-slabs Chief will give you a fake slab in render views as long as this room has a floor is checked
  6. Nice solution Steve, I turned this in many years ago but never fixed. thanks
  7. Also, if the stem wall height is different than the slab height, then you create a curb, like in a garage. For all the changes to work auto rebuild slab (virtual-not real) must be on until you are ready to build the real slab. Also check room defaults because with lots of different levels, rooms will build at the default level on rebuild. with your situation you will not want defaults checkbox checked because the rooms all have a different level.
  8. It would be great if they were automatically installed but unfortunately you have to do them manually using multiple copy.
  9. I got a new computer and had the garage door wizard on my old computer and haven't installed it yet, now I can't find it, but still looking. With that I could make any standard door anyone might need. hope I find it.
  10. I think it could be a layer line weight setting
  11. You need to link the layout to the plan file by going to the layout and opening Tools/layout/referenced plan files and link whatever plan file you want to. Must be done in the layout though not from the plan file.
  12. manually, after auto framing is turned off.
  13. I have 10 to 15 saved sections in my template plan and just delete the ones I don't use for that plan. The one's I do use, I just drag into place wherever I want them, big time saver. You will need to save some horiz. and some vertically. vI also save 15 camera views for interior and special views. everything is preset. BTW, these are all already sent to the layout so I don't need to send them again.
  14. I noticed you have a rim joist checked in the floor section of the dbx but it is actually an attic where no rim would be.
  15. Not sure if you can use the real time raytracing with that video card, but the rest will work for you. You can still use cpu raytracing if needed.
  16. as we all know anything can be built, but the engineering could cost.
  17. I only said just try it too see if it's an air problem
  18. I have only used windows and will never switch to a mac. With windows you can use everything the program allows and don't have to wait for apple to catch up.
  19. You could try to run with the cover off to see if it's getting enough air, if it's getting too hot.
  20. Thanks Rene, I just had a bad experience using one drive where it took all my files and put them on the cloud without asking me first. There must be a setting. I do use Carbonite as a backup only, but I never work anywhere else than my desktop.
  21. except when the internet is out, you can't get to your files, I like to keep files on my computer at all times
  22. sometimes just hit the f5 key to turn on Lites when moving to adjacent rooms.
  23. If you are looking to find the real thing with some details, my son owns this company. https://fhc-usa.com also glass railing with an ICC-ESR report.
