  3. Linux is not listed in the min. requirements or operating systems Chief runs on.
  4. a lot of times, I need to completely restart chief to get some macros to fire off correctly.
  5. to get what you want you need a completely separate roof plane not just a broken portion of a roof plane, to remove all trim on any given edge would be a great addition to roofs and sure be a time saver.

  8. If it's an addition I add match existing to the dim line, if new than make it whatever you want it to be.
  9. given a little time they will like it also. It does take up larger real estate though, but all the boxes are adjustable to anyone's liking.

  12. i think about the old days when we had 9" risers for residential. Spiral secondary stairs still have large risers allowable.
  13. each layer set has line weights for each item, just make them whatever you want. set them once and forgot it.
  14. I keep it at 100, I think that is the default, then adjust layer line weights accordingly.

  16. it's not the card, try setting your endcap printed length to 1/32 in preferences / cad section. also, if you change scale, make sure layout line scaling is checked.

  20. I never use plot lines ever, or cad detail from view. keep it live all the time. great for changes.
  21. try vector view or standard view with lines turned on.

  23. you can use the rainbow tool , click on any material in you plan, it opens plan then just copy and re-name material.
  24. in the materials plan dbx just copy the material and change the name to whatever you want it to be then select that material instead of the standard material chief gives you.
  25. you can adjust each roof plane individually to have trusses or rafters. Combo is easy that way.
