Will this computer configuration work well with X14?
DRAWZILLA replied to Ed_Orum's topic in General Q & A
I never said it was the best card I just said it works for me. at the time I got it I had to pay 1300 for it, just didn't want to pay any more. It's actually pretty fast for me. -
What I like about the remodeling aspect is you can reference the existing plan on your elevations, and it will show existing window and door locations that you might seal up on the elevations, show the patch area.

Are 3D Solids Created in a Section View Intended To Be Uneditable?
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
thanks Larry, I didn't know that, or it could be a bug -
I have always used two separate plans 1 for existing as-built and the other for the existing plus new. Just copy the as-built plan and re-name to new, then use the as-built as a reference plan under the new plan then when you remove any wall the as -built will show up automatically. just make sure the as built plan has is own layerset showing what you want to show.

I print at 300dpi using Adobe DC pro and every job is 50 to 100mb, so I have to use Adobe cloud service to send links instead of plans

make sure the "0" page, template sheet is not included in the mix and not the first page. to do this just uncheck "included in page layout" in the page info.

I know that the RTRT views actually Print much better than they look on the computer screen, have you tried to actually print to "PDF". Not sure but it works for me. -
backdrop shows grey when no backdrop selected in PBR
DRAWZILLA replied to SHCanada2's topic in General Q & A
Is your color button icon on? Do you tell it to print in color? to get a white background just use a white color. Sorry I miss-read your post. -
make sure you have done all the Alienware & windows 11 & Nvidia updates also.
-
you can also just continue the wall through the opening and use an opening no casing or jamb for the opening, that way it's a real wall separating the two rooms

Is your auto attic walls on or off. they need to be on auto to get them on the attic wall layer -
Interior Walls, Exterior Walls, Walls Normal, Definitions?
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
yes the wall type will follow the wall below, but any auto attic wall will be places on the walls attic layer. If no wall exists below the attic wall then it will not generate an attic wall -

walls attic, at least I can turn them off in plan view easily. I don't think there is a default for that. -
try this, Change the conc. foundation wall to to designate it as framing and not concrete. by doing this, I can get the brick ledge even for stucco to go down 2" below the bottom plate line. maybe it will work in your condition. Why does it work, I don't know?
