But Lew did not get his wall locks.

Yes I know

Try turning off everything running in the background and see if that helps. Is that a new or old Quadro card? Chief prefers NVidia gaming cards

We typically pour a new slab over the existing garage floor slab and level with the house or curb. if it's a raised floor house, then I add new floor joists level with the house and piers for support. for slab floor you could just use the slab tool over the existing also.

stop dragging walls unless you absolutely have to. It will mess things up.

DRAWZILLA replied to Lighthouse's topic in General Q & A
I just don't do field topo maps, I tell the client they need someone else to do it if necessary. I just do the house -

Just remember if you pull wall down all the framing and drywall go with it, and your sections will be screwed up. I will never drag a wall unless it's a very simple pull. Sometimes after you print to PDF some lines will go away.

DRAWZILLA replied to TLHomeDesigns's topic in General Q & A
Just do it within Chief, I doubt any layperson will see the difference. Chief does a very nice job of it. Just learn it. -

Hey, what happened to the O.P. so we can find out for sure.

I have used Alienware for 15 years now , never had any problems but you do need a new one about every 5 years and sometimes you can last longer with changing out a few parts.
-
Doesn't Chief have curved beams now, new in X9
-
Around here edges of shear walls require a 4x4 post or 4x6 if 2x6 studs, even in the corners. I add them manually.
-
All I know is that Chief has needed to work on framing for a long time now, it's time for X10 please.
-
Scott, here is a pdf of the patterns Chief has. Fill Hatch Patterns Cheat Sheets.pdf

How to maintain roof framing after deleting roof plane?
DRAWZILLA replied to zowie123's topic in General Q & A
I think if you block the framing it will stay unless they changed something recently. -
use the electric schedule, it will only include what you use in the plan, and you can comment and change any label you want. Works great
