  1. Not detailed enough for me try this program http://contourmapcreator.urgr8.ch/
  2. I run into this all the time around here. I must have all doors swing in or provide code landings or stoops. There are sliders that look like French doors if your clients don't want the inswing. then you wont need the 1 1/2" step down.
  3. I would print in grayscale not black and white, you need to check the box " color off is grayscale" in preferences.
  4. I thought that only "PNG" files can have a transparent background.
  5. no experience with either, talk about dark ages
  6. well then all I can say is post the plan then
  7. You could try to make your bays using manually drawn walls instead of using them bay window tool.
  8. also when you have a 2x12 rafter and must have tails at 2x4 to match existing trusses so no bump in the roof exists. you must use invisible soffits to get the framing correct. this is almost an every day thing in my world.. When the existing house is trusses we almost never use trusses for the addition. everything is stick built around here. unless it is a new structure.
  9. here is a short video about exposed rafters
  10. works for me, but you need to adjust the material to air gap
  11. Sue them in small claims court and always take an up front retainer fee from people you don't know.
  12. The curser is changed thru the windows options not chief.
  13. if it's exposed rafters you want then change the soffit material to opening no material and the rafters will show.
  14. only problem is when you have 2 floors and want to reference the windows on the 1st floor, they come out a solid lines even though the layer is for referenced windows to be dashed.. ! know its a symbol but can't Chief find a way to make them a real adjustable window..
  15. I keep a few versions back just for changes or for clients that can't make up their minds for a while. at least keep the data file for those people that come back for more work
  16. I have not as it could change before adoption. date.. way too soon to be thinking about that.
  17. for that you can just uncheck," include in schedule" in the window DBX
  18. maybe you could create a filled polyline and save it to your lib. for future use. I do it for an earth fill for sections and send it to the back. don't forget to unblock it prior to adjusting the size
  19. I still like the foundation on floor zero and the basement on floor 1. It might be a California thing as I don't like to clutter up any floor plans with all the stuff we have to include on the foundation plan like many shear walls and holdowns we have to include on the framing and foundation plans here. Some times it just gets to much to put on a floor plan.
  20. I have always started my drawings my way and never had to repair like you say, so I have no idea what you might have to fix. BTW there are people here that like the floor zero for the basement level. I never did.
