  1. for right now I use a corner board and adjust as needed.
  2. Steve, if you hit the control key while selecting a part of the stairs, you can adjust just that section however you want to. been that way for many years
  3. Seems to me he had something but it might have been to much trouble and time to do.. Right now I just add cad lines in the sections.
  4. did you try to "clear printer info"? It's under file/print. Sometimes it clears things up.
  5. We have been asking for soffit framing for many years. you can do it with ceiling planes and modified walls and drag the bottoms up but it sure would save a ton of time just to frame the soffits
  6. X11 is, to me, one of the best releases ever , even in beta.
  7. Larry--new stuff is old stuff after 1 year or less.
  8. This is why I never use outswing doors in any of my plans, even if the homeowner wants it. I'll go with am sliding French door in those cases
  9. Not detailed enough for me try this program http://contourmapcreator.urgr8.ch/
  10. I run into this all the time around here. I must have all doors swing in or provide code landings or stoops. There are sliders that look like French doors if your clients don't want the inswing. then you wont need the 1 1/2" step down.
  11. I would print in grayscale not black and white, you need to check the box " color off is grayscale" in preferences.
  12. I thought that only "PNG" files can have a transparent background.
  13. no experience with either, talk about dark ages
  14. well then all I can say is post the plan then
  15. You could try to make your bays using manually drawn walls instead of using them bay window tool.
  16. also when you have a 2x12 rafter and must have tails at 2x4 to match existing trusses so no bump in the roof exists. you must use invisible soffits to get the framing correct. this is almost an every day thing in my world.. When the existing house is trusses we almost never use trusses for the addition. everything is stick built around here. unless it is a new structure.
  17. here is a short video about exposed rafters
  18. works for me, but you need to adjust the material to air gap
  19. Sue them in small claims court and always take an up front retainer fee from people you don't know.
  20. The curser is changed thru the windows options not chief.
  21. if it's exposed rafters you want then change the soffit material to opening no material and the rafters will show.
