I think I know what this is. With your elevation active, switch the camera type to VECTOR. You will then be able to sent it to layout as a plot line.

It has to be a cross section elevation. It sounds like you are trying to send a 3d camera view.

You are probably trying to send it as an image. Click on "current screen" then "plot lines"

Try sending your elevation to the layout as "plot lines".

Yes, but you have to tell it to update. You can update all views at once with the icon that look like two arrows forming a circle.

It is because you are sending it as a live view. Send it to layout as plot lines without the color fill and it will look right.

Maybe you sent it to the layout as an image instead of a plot lines.

edit - edit area - edit (all floors). Follow that sequence and use your cursor to drag a box around you entire plan. It will allow you to move everything then.

This is a good example of the DANGER of computer design software. It leads the public to believe its all about knowing the software. It is not. It's about know how buildings are built and what can be done in the real world. If you are serious about becoming a competent designer, put your keyboard away and pick up a hammer for a year or two. Some real world experience will show you why the program will not let you design that particular mistake.

For a truss, you need a roof AND a ceiling plane. Make sure the ceiling is turned on in the structure tab.

Unlocking the trim and adjusting it gets mixed results and if you have to snap that roof plane to a new element it will generate another frieze board with the same problem. If you're going to go manual, it is faster to create a p solid and turn the frieze off for the roof planes in question.

Your also using a roof plane as a ceiling plane. There is a separate tool for ceiling planes.

You also have a problem on the roof plane on the right side. Make it have the same fascia height and it will look right (keep pitch locked).

open the dbx for the main roof go to "options" and uncheck boxed eave.

This is also a guess. Maybe the eaves and gable end to not match. Make sure they snap to each other.
