  1. You might want to mention some more details, like where you are located. Is it one time thing or a full time job etc.
  2. Open a different plan (one with a mirror in it). This might help determine if you have a plan problem or a system problem.
  3. I just loaded it up in x9 and it looks reflective on my system.
  4. I did not load plan, but could it be the mirror material. It may have something not quite right. Try placing a new mirror.
  5. So we went from something funny, to dissecting dogs in just 6 posts.
  6. Convert "view to cad" then you can export it.
  7. I saw this post on a builders forum about Chief Architect power users. The quote may not be exact but you get the idea. It really made me laugh. "The experts say "what's the big deal? You just pull up the ALT/F9 hit repository, browse over to rendered images, pull a convex linear dissuader on the b31996-lf chair, , blend it into the alpha stream and do a 3 point anchor referenced on the initial x/y minus the incline of the betamax and there's your patio set - here see how easy it is?" And of course they go right on ahead and demonstrate - and when they leave you are left looking at the screen and thinking "WAT THE F DID HE JUST SAY!?!?"
  8. Maybe you lost the room definitions some how. Open the room dbx and see if it has a definition.
  9. Make sure the automatic dimension layer is on.
  10. That is a great new feature and would be the best method.
  11. I could be wrong but I think he wants the walls screened as well. Something like this.
  12. I think he wants screen material to show up. Simplest way might be to do what Joe suggests and add screen material as a molding polyline.
  13. You can not use a rail wall to do this. Create a wall with definitions of screen material. You can use a pony wall to have the bottom part a different wall type. A door will then show up as a hinged door. You may have to create a door to your liking with screen material. It is a lot of busy work to get it to work. You could also just notate the elevations as having a screened porch and porch door.
  14. There is no floor 0 until you create it.
  15. Check your wall type definitions. Some of the lines are set at 35. You can set it to a smaller setting. The ceiling will show up if you go to your layer set called section view and turn on the layer called "rooms" You have a soffit on the roof so the blocking is showing where it would go. The ceiling insulation can be adjusted by going into the room preferences setting. Under structure, set the ceiling joists to 9.5" (or whatever thickness of insulation you want to show.
  16. Your terrain is on level 0. I usually place it on level 1.
  17. Maybe you need to check that the wall is "no locate". It may be trying to define a room.
  18. Check the definition on your rail wall. Set the specs so it functions as a rail and not a wall. (Assuming you used a wall for the fence)
  19. You have a foundation as level 1. It should be on level 0
  20. Make sure your room dbx says "deck" and is marked to have a roof over it.
  21. I usually place the posts manually so I can get them exactly where they need to be located. Invisible wall works great to define the area.
  22. That would be a tough roof to actually build. Is this for real or are you testing the limits of design on a fictional project?
  23. If you have engineers that don't know how to submit electronically, I would look for a new engineer.
