My line weights are anywhere from 10 to 200 depending on what it is ,and I have separate and different line weights for different layer sets, like for sending elevations to the layout, windows and doors are thicker and roofs are thicker for effect. I think you need to adjust yours for what you like to see. I just did them as I go along, then at some time you get it right then you won't have to change them again, When you get a new version , you will need to import your layer sets and layers.

I always have line weights on all the time. I just don't know what happens if you send to the layout with them off, but I don't think it matters as long as you have them set up in the layer sets you send with each view. try it and see.

Yes Joe, i like the lock idea, its just too easy to change what view we see. When using templates and having your elevations already sent to the layout, it makes sense.

I have always set my lineweights in the layer-sets, never gone with the OOB settings.

I find myself changing floors accidently, some notification would be nice.

Never had any problems using "Eset"

I'm not seeing any slowdown, must be some setting or your computer

It appears that a while back Calif. has included the construction assemblies in their free program now, and couldn't find a separate free program for that . No wonder I haven't needed that for a while .I guess they don't want people coming up with their own methods of assemblies. Here is a link to our free title 24 program if that helps. Chief does not export to this ,but it does export to Rescheck. http://www.energy.ca.gov/title24/2016standards/2016_computer_prog_list.html

with X10 newest update, you can use Sketchup 2018 files.

Try to call that room a porch and see if that helps
-
No way to get the construction assembly r- values for walls, ceilings in Chief, but you can export to Rescheck to get those. Here in calif. there are some free programs to do it.

usually it's the soil report that determines the footing depth, sometimes the city will have their own minimum depth
-
Make sure you send it into to support or it won't get fixed
-
You can also look up fire rated assembly's and sound rated on the internet, lots to find there
-
I haven't even tried that one yet
-
You get a point for that

Thanks Mick, sorry I thought they were talking battered walls. Sloping wider at the bottom.

First turn on inner dims. You have changed the name of some dims, so it' difficult to tell what you are doing.
-
How does that work using doors and windows?
-
light intensity (lumens) does matter for energy calculations and if you might export to rescheck.

The error is probably the user who sent you the plan

Call it a porch in the room type box , then change the name of the room to whatever you need

I use a Logitech mx master, works great and you can hookup via usb or Bluetooth wirelessly. It is a bit pricy (100) though.

no way to change it that I know about, but we have been working on it ,with suggestions to Chief.
