  1. you might try to limit the reach to 8' or something
  2. for remodels I will copy my remodeling plan template and layout template to a new job folder with the correct name. Then you will need to rename those and relink them. My plan template has everything to show as existing (windows-doors etc.) . Once done with the existing I will save as to existing plan as to not have to re-link to the layout. I will also create a cad mask for all floors and put these in the background so when you remove a wall what's underneath will show.. I then change all my existing defaults like walls, doors windows ,headers, beams etc. Then draw the new, anything new will show up in schedules, materials list, room finish, foundation. it does take a bit of time to separate it all but you'll be glad you did., and now it's all automatic. been doing it that way for ever but with each new release it's getting much easier and saving me time, which is what all about. The thing about Chief is there are many way's to go, everyone does it a little different, That is the mark of a great program.
  3. I see now what you mean and it should work. i tried to download the plan and it said it was deleted so you must have fixed it.
  4. yes Chief please allow this to happen.
  5. It's been known since Chief started to always check any symbols you might import for face size and reduce it prior to using. Some imported symbols are just too large especially from Sketch up warehouse.
  6. You need to multi-select all existing doors then change them, doors and windows are not dynamic items.
  7. Those look like winders to me, exactly what are you trying to achieve.
  8. I'm pretty sure you know this but I would check what I have my extensions set at. are those automatic or manual dims?
  9. to me it seems to be the way you ae working as I don't have those problems--user error. . there is something wrong with your setup.
  10. It will also create a much smaller file if you save as a reduced PDF, I just wish I didn't have to take the extra step
  11. wow , that's news to me because I can zoom in pretty close and not have any problems, maybe it's because I always print using a 600 dpi. Thanks for looking into that.
  12. that;'s because your paper in not centered with the plan. you can just turn the page display off
  13. Just drag the exposed roof overhang to just inside the wall and you won't see it, and it will still show in sections
  14. Is your open below room using defaults? I don't ever have to patch that, it should be automatic for you. It seems to me that there is a setting wrong
  15. Joe Carrick and Michael have some for sale
  16. But I never get those anymore, there was a reason
  17. I remember the issue, and there is a fix for it, just can't remember what it is. Have you updated to the latest fix for X9.
  18. I'm not using a PS, I'm using a countertop and There isn't mush storage space for any doors to use ,so I just use a tile face. very quick for me. The access can be from the outside or another wall.
  19. I draw a poly line then convert it to a countertop, you can have any shape you want, just make it as deep as your tub. The tub will also insert into it.
  20. or you can just offset the overhang maybe 1/4"
  21. post the plan and see if we all have the same problem.
  22. I use the PBR every day now instead of standard renderings, much better imo.
  23. I pretty sure that when you print to adobe it's a pdf vector and when you want an image you go to file/ export to an image (many kinds). maybe you options further then your DBX where your resolution is, and check it, I use 600. I never had any pixilation problems, like you show I mostly print to 24x36
