A slight negative air pressure as most typical fans do, doesn't kill anyone and the testing proves it. The state of California allows it and the rest is just your opinion. or you are just trying to sell something. -

Richard, that is just a company trying to sell a product not anything to do with the code we need to follow, it's their opinion. I didn't see any reason to do it their way. It costs more than using an always on fan that doesn't create enough negative air to make people sick like you think. Of course it's preferred to have all that built in to your system , but not everyone wants to pay more. a slight Negative air in your home is better than having it air tight any day. That's a fact Jack. -

Never seen or heard that anywhere and apparently neither has the state of California. -
you can change your gable sub-fascia to 1/16 to move the wall up also
-
Yes keep it live , because we all have changes down the road, and using cad means you will have to re-do all that cad work.

That's why we in Cali. have to install Always on fans to create a negative air pressure , so everyone won't get sick.. every time you open a front door or window, fresh air from the outside is suppose to rush in.. Well--at least you hope it's fresh air.. -
Sure but it's not automatic, draw your foundation using the foundation walls you need ,on level 0, then when you are done just copy those foundation walls you just did to level 1 and change those wall to what you want. foundation walls are just walls with rooms just like a floor plan

ok, but I wasn't talking about PBR, i was talking about the Opaque option for windows
-
That option was also in X9

Could also be a roof plane line that is not straight, just off a little
-
You could also put a roof on it.

A Lot of people here use Dropbox for their job files and the Chief data files. You then just need to open any file from the Dropbox folder and draw away. Because you put the data file there also all your materials are automatically there too.

Just maybe it's a new feature, something we could have used 30 years ago.

I would also stay away from these also although they have gotten better lately, but there have been problems in the past. NVidia is all I have ever used without any problems
-
Believe me David, it was added years ago.
-
I wouldn't get a Quadro card if my life depended on it for Chief.
-
I don't understand why this isn't part of the roof tools, we have talked about this for many years and it pretty standard for roofs.

Also some cities just don't understand the energy codes enough to apply them yet, even though I've been doing them for 30 years. It used to be a lot simpler back in the day. -

All I know is the cities around here accept my calc.s using 2x4 with r-15, at least the last 100 projects without any problems. Maybe they don't know yet and the calres program approves it and Calcerts also approves it. -
