  1. Then the sections would be wrong, the fascia still shows when you pull it back to the beam. You can see it in Scott's example
  2. Thank you Scott, I'm so tired of talking about this, it's been many years now and nothing so what does Chief do? Half of what's needed to fix this problem.. Anyone that has to frame will see all these problems.
  3. I always have auto framing , everything ,on all the time until I need to turn it off to manually frame from that point Yes because if not the old framing will remain. But if your roof planes are not correctly drawn you might get some artifacts that might show up. using the join tool will help with that.
  4. Do you have auto framing on? so when you adjust the roof plane it will re-frame automatically.
  5. although it would be nice to have. This has been in the codes forever even though the numbers have changed over time and energy requirments
  6. If you have a slide out drawer for your Eoluent mouse make sure it will fit in height, I keep scraping my knuckles on the top of the drawer.

  15. They all have their own prices and that can vary greatly. I've seen a 400,000 job and some contractor comes in at 250,000
  16. Just remember for remodeling plans you have to separate new walls and all other items from anything existing, that can be quite a process if your not set up for it. I think Chief might have a remodeling template to give you a good start at it.
  17. In reality, with my extensive experience with insurance company's, they are never on your side and will always try to cheat you whenever possible ---so beware.
  18. Unless they can pay me as I draw the plans, everything is ok, if not then I wouldn't draw it. the Insurance does give them money up front. The bank won't fund it until all their things are done.
  19. Not sure about X7 but you could use a "Bearing line to break the joists also., You can also check with or without joists to get the flush result.
  20. if you make it a bearing beam by checking the box at the bottom of the DBX, it should break the ceiling joists.
