  1. try this, turn edge smoothing to high in preferences
  2. It seems a long time to me also, I have also submitted it to tech. support but it might not be something Chief can deal with. I have 30 page plans that take forever to print.
  3. Call tech. support , you should be able to re-install X8 and just keep it on your computer for this purpose.
  4. Snagit for me also, never had any problem, for an extra fee you can use their online storage so you don't load up your hard drives
  5. I have been using Joe's macro's for many years now without any problems what -so-ever.
  6. I don't add any 3d osb or plywood to my plan b/c it's all covered up anyway, right now its all 2d cad lines on their own layer so I can show the holdowns and shear walls on the foundation plan also. I f I try to show any 3d plywood then it will create a line on the elevations b/c of the wall thickness difference. In real life the contractors will feather the stucco or fir out the rest of the wall for siding to match.
  7. I have just never used the plan footprint, for me its easier to use an annoset for site plans
  8. I have been having some crashes lately, it was the 3d connection mouse driver. didn't update, I just removed it and everything ok.
  9. I THOUGHT I'D GIVE YOU A HEADS UP. Any time you need an architect or engineer it costs you. She is good though.
  10. Michael, my niece is licensed in Alaska but lives in California right now., they still have their place in Alaska.. I could give you her phone number if interested. BTW she isn't cheap. She uses AutoCAD and Revit.
  11. not sure if it will happen today, no one there.
  12. We went 20 years without a team, I don't think so but I will send you a L.A. chargers t-shirt
  13. Scott, that's why you are a genus and scholar of all Chief things
  14. Yes , use a reference set for that as Scott says
  15. Then the sections would be wrong, the fascia still shows when you pull it back to the beam. You can see it in Scott's example
  16. Thank you Scott, I'm so tired of talking about this, it's been many years now and nothing so what does Chief do? Half of what's needed to fix this problem.. Anyone that has to frame will see all these problems.
  17. I always have auto framing , everything ,on all the time until I need to turn it off to manually frame from that point Yes because if not the old framing will remain. But if your roof planes are not correctly drawn you might get some artifacts that might show up. using the join tool will help with that.
  18. Do you have auto framing on? so when you adjust the roof plane it will re-frame automatically.
  19. although it would be nice to have. This has been in the codes forever even though the numbers have changed over time and energy requirments
  20. If you have a slide out drawer for your Eoluent mouse make sure it will fit in height, I keep scraping my knuckles on the top of the drawer.
  21. I thought transparency's were available with PNG images only
  22. You can also just add the s.f. of each window to the window schedule.
  23. Nice soiver but way too much trouble for me. Time killer for sure. At least there is always a way using Chief.
