  3. I don't add any 3d osb or plywood to my plan b/c it's all covered up anyway, right now its all 2d cad lines on their own layer so I can show the holdowns and shear walls on the foundation plan also. I f I try to show any 3d plywood then it will create a line on the elevations b/c of the wall thickness difference. In real life the contractors will feather the stucco or fir out the rest of the wall for siding to match.

  12. Then the sections would be wrong, the fascia still shows when you pull it back to the beam. You can see it in Scott's example
  13. Thank you Scott, I'm so tired of talking about this, it's been many years now and nothing so what does Chief do? Half of what's needed to fix this problem.. Anyone that has to frame will see all these problems.
  14. I always have auto framing , everything ,on all the time until I need to turn it off to manually frame from that point Yes because if not the old framing will remain. But if your roof planes are not correctly drawn you might get some artifacts that might show up. using the join tool will help with that.
  15. Do you have auto framing on? so when you adjust the roof plane it will re-frame automatically.
  16. although it would be nice to have. This has been in the codes forever even though the numbers have changed over time and energy requirments
  17. If you have a slide out drawer for your Eoluent mouse make sure it will fit in height, I keep scraping my knuckles on the top of the drawer.

  20. Nice soiver but way too much trouble for me. Time killer for sure. At least there is always a way using Chief.
  21. I put all my interior and exterior walls on separate layers for easy changes. Just use the all off layerset and turn on exterior walls, then change
  22. If you want a smaller file size by a lot use Adobe
  23. I just size the notes the correct size than save to the lib. then place them in the layout from there.
  24. Dex-o-tex can slope the decking material to give you 1/8" slope which has ICC approval for less than 1/4"
