Blind Upgrade To X7 Before Sale Ends?
DRAWZILLA replied to mthd97's topic in Sales Related Questions
Lew?? -
If that happened to me (very rarely ), I would just Trace or Copy the plan to an updated version profile plan or template. I just can't go back to the old ways of doing things b/c with each new version Chief has included new tools that just save time.
-
Sometimes surveyor's make mistakes too.
-
Bringing X6 into X7 works very good, I've done several without any problems. At some time I will just delete X6, like I have X5,X4,X3,X2,X1,and 10.
-
I remember there was a request to do this a while back
-
I notice you have interiors, maybe you don't have that tool.
-
20 years, wow. You must have invented Chief. I'll bet that was back in the day when you had to draw every line.
-
Maybe just a little faster for me. The general slowdown is still there though.
-
Joe, I have a lot of details in my lib. I couldn't possibly put all them in a cad window. I can imagine how slow that would make chief run.
-
Sorry, I guess I would have to see the symbol and how its made

Try solid fill , move to front

Ruby just saves you time and I'm all for it, I have a lot of macro's I got from friends here plus I use ruby for most of my text notes on the plan, you know like the text you have on every plan you do. It's real simple to create text macro's. You just type or copy it in to Ruby, save the macro, and forget it. The good thing is that when you make a change to a text macro, it changes every instance you use it on the plan. I'm shocked more people don't go nuts over this.

The Plan Note (Key) Schedule From A Plant Schedule Video
DRAWZILLA replied to DRAWZILLA's topic in General Q & A
I imagine you could use Dropbox, I just want the convenience of letting them do it. 10 buck a month sounds right. You pay for bandwidth, 2 gig's a month, I never get that much traffic so never been close to using 2 gig's in 1 month. With the free screencast you get far less. -
I have noticed in the past and today , when you block text somewhere along the line it loses it's checks, in the auto height and width.
-
Those macro's come with the program, other than that you must make them or get some from a friend.
-
I just copied from 1 layout to another yesterday, What Joe said, it works

SnagIt used to be free but I use the paid version, and the paid Screencast account for storing your videos -

I also do video's for clients, so some are private, but anything I have done here, are already here. -
Scott, if you use the wall covering from the room DBX, in a shower it will also cover the glass walls from the inside, looks ok from the outside but some angles don't look correct. For me it happens every time, look from the inside of the shower room

DRAWZILLA replied to DRAWZILLA's topic in General Q & A
ok it's good to download now, Sorry for the screw up. Like Joe says, just use the "place lib object" to get it on your toolbars. don't forget to save it to your lib first. -
