  1. Or you can also just turn on auto roof and it will cut it for you as log as its set up correctly. I want an option for an overbuild. I also want to be able to edit each edge of a roof plane
  2. I thought they fixed that with the latest update
  3. I would try to re-download and re-install, it all just doesn't sound kosher to me .
  4. It doesn't give you an attic wall there b/c there is no wall under it. To get the attic wall just run your wall all the way across the opening, generate your roof, then either create an opening (no casing) and drag it all the way to look like no wall is there or cut the wall and make it invisible (no room def.) but the attic wall should stay there if you then turn off auto attic walls.
  5. I also use Adobe Acrobat and Don't see that. 400 dpi is good for most 24 x 36 printing unless you want a very large print.
  6. I have some slowness but it's not enough to worry about.
  7. Both way are great but for me it depends on if he included the columns within the railing DBX or not.
  8. I installed X7 and started using it that day, after I familiarized myself with it. I then brought in a plan from X6 and never went back.
  9. Very small wall breaks are possible. You have to break it longer and drag back to where you want it then connect the other wall to it.
  10. Yes, basement level 1, foundation level 0. Just draw the basement at level 1 and the ground floor is level 2 ,2nd floor is level 3. You can put anything on any level you want. Some people don't like to work this way, but I feel it works out better if you need a separate foundation plan.
  11. It would be great if Chief did this automatically.
  12. You can also break it further back draw a line and drag it back to the point you want but Joe's method is easier to do.
  13. I make the basement level 1 so I can have a separate foundation level.
  14. Yes, that is correct Grasshopper
  15. You guys know , you can offset the footing on a monoslab.
  16. Well, what if its a landing slab, you can't lower it more than 1 1/2" from the threshold of the raised floor. I can make this work but you can't do it automatically, you have to create a manual footing along side of the stem wall footing. You know I learned it form you a while back. It is a bug for sure.
  17. Also we shouldn't have to lower the slab a couple more inches, it should be any height you want.
  18. Yes but look at the way the porch slab lowered the stem wall. I have been trying to get Chief to fix this for a very long time.
  19. Yes, those were very good examples of slowness.
  20. Here in Calif. we want one roof under the other, it's called California framing, only thing is that the roofing material itself is also there (under) so it will blow the materials list out of wack.
  21. Yep, I just wanted to see if I experience slowness in the same areas as you do.
  22. You should post them here also.
