yes, but you don't need to snap to anything b/c it's already snapped in the original place you drew it.
-
try to put it in a compressed (zip) folder first

Post the plan and you will get your answer

Is "framing walls" layer turned on?
-
Most of my plans are at least 20 pages so I notice a large difference in file size between the two.
-
Yes the reference layer will print. I use them for almost every plan sent to the layout, a big time saver. You just create your own custom reference set just like a layerset.

For me the built in "PDF" creates a much larger file size, than using Adobe. So I use adobe for that reason. I don't see any problems like that, using Adobe

Nice Jon. I love it when people come up with this stuff. I always just never have time to be a free thinker, too much work to do. I just can't get up at 2am like Scott.

Or you can also just turn on auto roof and it will cut it for you as log as its set up correctly. I want an option for an overbuild. I also want to be able to edit each edge of a roof plane
-
I thought they fixed that with the latest update
-
I would try to re-download and re-install, it all just doesn't sound kosher to me .
-
It doesn't give you an attic wall there b/c there is no wall under it. To get the attic wall just run your wall all the way across the opening, generate your roof, then either create an opening (no casing) and drag it all the way to look like no wall is there or cut the wall and make it invisible (no room def.) but the attic wall should stay there if you then turn off auto attic walls.

I also use Adobe Acrobat and Don't see that. 400 dpi is good for most 24 x 36 printing unless you want a very large print.
-
I have some slowness but it's not enough to worry about.
-
Both way are great but for me it depends on if he included the columns within the railing DBX or not.
-
I installed X7 and started using it that day, after I familiarized myself with it. I then brought in a plan from X6 and never went back.

Yes, basement level 1, foundation level 0. Just draw the basement at level 1 and the ground floor is level 2 ,2nd floor is level 3. You can put anything on any level you want. Some people don't like to work this way, but I feel it works out better if you need a separate foundation plan.
-
It would be great if Chief did this automatically.
-
I make the basement level 1 so I can have a separate foundation level.
-
Yes, that is correct Grasshopper
