No, Moscow, Ukraine

I wonder what the process to become n Architect is, in Moscow.

Basically don't use the wall covering DBX b/c it paints all the walls in a room, use the "wall material region" tool instead, for the tile only, or just break the walls and create a new wall with tile on them. Also don't paint walls.

I have had 1 plan that wouldn't update the floor plans, I just re-started Chief and it worked ok, not sure what happened.

Is There A Way To Show Framing And Block Pony Wall? (Video)
DRAWZILLA replied to HumbleChief's topic in General Q & A
Has anyone tried making the upper wall a framing only wall, I know you will have to swap the walls out just for that view. -
Do you really want the liability for that, I don't, Let an engineer do that and just include it in your price. I do that with every job I do.
-
Of course Revit does a lot more than Chief, it better, for 6 grand min. I really don't think Chief wants to go that way. They all have their programming problems. I believe Chief really want to improve the program using Chief tools and concentrating on what it does best.

Yes but that has nothing to do with ray-tracing. Check your ray-trace defaults. I also notice a general slowdown in X7 but it is still in Beta, it should speed up when the release is final.
-
Isn't it better to seek largest base you can? Seeking us common folk, is just a better business plan. Sell more programs, make more money. Architects also love Chief, b/c it's that good.
-
I know Joe is good, so you must have improved a lot, good for you buddy.

Glen has been here a very long time, he knows. Lets face it Most Architects just won't buy Chief b/c most also do Commercial work, Chief is not really suited to them. At least right now the forum is busier than I have seen in 10 years.

I keep my "software edge smoothing" to zero in both preview and final (Let the card do that ,not the software) but only the CPU handles the ray-traces. What you show is really only for renders not ray-traces. Check your ray-trace setup to compare with X6. There are some settings there that will extend the time it takes.

Why Does Lighting Change All Of The Sudden?
DRAWZILLA replied to AriseDesign's topic in General Q & A
Thanks Jintu, but wouldn't the ceiling heights go back to default, I'll try it but I really never do walkthrough's. -
Upgrading From 9.54 And Need New Computer Advice...
DRAWZILLA replied to Mintplanner's topic in General Q & A
If you do raytraces, I would up the processor to at least 3ghz or higher -
Not sure, but I believe you need to pair them up before they will connect. also older phones and Gen 1 ipads won't work.
-
no problem here also, it got to be something else

Why Does Lighting Change All Of The Sudden?
DRAWZILLA replied to AriseDesign's topic in General Q & A
I WOULD THINK SO. -
That's strange ceiling planes usually always frame. Is everything turned on?
-
I think Chief uses their own built in antialiasing, and doesn't use it from your video card at all, maybe they could if they had the video card do it.

Why Does Lighting Change All Of The Sudden?
DRAWZILLA replied to AriseDesign's topic in General Q & A
I believe that the lights change depending on what and where you have lights in that room. -
Thanks Joe, I have been saving them, now I know
-
Until they become the Chino Padres and the Los Angeles Chargers.

That could be the "vertical" slab you are seeing in camera view. I like to call it a Porch so the wall framing will frame on the upper level. you also have to uncheck the "mono slab" also. Leave nothing checked in the floor section.
-
Don't you mean Don't re-build the roof planes, reframing should not give you new roof planes.
-
Or call it a porch and uncheck "floor in this room"
