  1. they stay if you block them together before re-building.
  2. Joe's macro's are great, they have saved me lots of time drawing.
  3. You can see in the picture that a drywall layer is going thru the outside wall, just use the "edit wall layer intersections" tool to bring it back to where it should be.
  4. I don't think it looks like a spiral stair to me. I pretty sure Scott's post would apply.
  5. Every new release has given me new tools to save time, and for me that's what it's all about. I always upgrade and Chief gets me out the door sooner every time.
  6. The reason the storage room doesn't work is that those 2 walls are probably set as attic walls which have no room def. Just uncheck no room def. and it will convert to a room.
  7. Yes, use a sill without an apron
  8. I have to use it on sections for mono slab foundation flubs
  9. Where is Scotts waterfall video when you need it?
  10. No, I'm talking about the rafter and ridge/ hip framing as you can see in your pic. The ridge shows through the gable wall and you shouldn't see it below the rake or fascia boards, it should reduce like rafters do. This has been this way forever and we have put in many requests over the years.
  11. Also that ridge should reduce, as not to show as in real life. This includes hips
  12. You can also create a window well using walls and a low slope roof for the floor
  13. If you look at your curb in real life, at least around here, it's still there just lowered.
  14. Try checking the box that railing wall to "Balloon thru ceiling".
  15. Yep, just trying to get the model as accurate as possible is important to us.
  16. Have you tried doing it at a higher resolution
  17. Yes, thanks Michael, although I don't think the continuous fans have enough impact on the make up air to make any difference to the make-up air, but I suppose you guys up there probably have special codes b/c its so cold.
  18. You can also change the dim text size to 1/16 and you won't see it.
  19. You have to modify the cad block that is attached to the symbol. Easy to do, but it will take you a while if you want to change every one. make sure you save it to your template plan or you will have to do it every time.
  20. A macro would also work but someone needs to create it for you. I have my electrical contractor do those, if needed at all.
  21. Never have heard of anything like that, maybe it's a new type of group meeting or user based thing.
