I don't use Legacy and don't get spikes and always use hardware edge smoothing

Using the computer method of Energy calc's you can use any U-value window you want as long as the whole project complies with the energy codes. You just have to make it up somewhere else.

update your video card drivers should work unless you have an old system or using an Intel built in video card.

I have seen too many moldy bathrooms, and they should have a window where possible. Now that codes require an exhaust fan in a toilet compartment ,and where a shower and tub are, it should take care of the problem but some people just don't turn them on. Next they will require them to be on an occupancy sensor.

Need Help With Roof Issue And How To Create It.
DRAWZILLA replied to ChiefuserLarkin's topic in General Q & A
I would use a railing wall, post to beam. you will have to adjust the roof manually to get that condition. Can be done very easily but you need to read up on roofs to do it. -
I try to use rich text when I can but some things must use regular text like room labels and macro's. Rich text gives you more options for formatting text.

Question About Displaying Objects On Multiple Levels
DRAWZILLA replied to tahoebrian5's topic in General Q & A
For me it would be useful to be able to show all roofs for the roof and site plans on 3 story plans. -
You just e-mail using "Adobe send and track" an add on to Acrobat. You sound like you are aware which isn't a bad thing. Most people aren't aware of how to do it. For me , most of my stuff is only used for a particular project and of no use for anyone else. That's how I would know who downloaded it. Of course this isn't foolproof and if your stuff is that important, then there are more expensive methods that will work, but for me not worth it.

Question About Displaying Objects On Multiple Levels
DRAWZILLA replied to tahoebrian5's topic in General Q & A
I use reference sets -
Yes but most people can't seem to get thru the Acrobat security features. And if someone has the knowledge to go beyond that, good for them. Take it. Nothing I do is worth it anyway.

We are the elite ones. No one can match our standards

No extra money, they haven't changed it this year or the last few years.
-
Joe did you double pay last year? ok you must have a different date you started.
-
I have paid the SSA every year and not sure they raised any prices, they have just discounted if you pay early and it used to be by the end of the year. I pretty sure they have just changed the date for the higher price and moved it back to Jan 12th.
-
It seems SSA is on sale right now and goes up 50 bucks if you wait until Jan 12th.
-
What about dimensions and fractions?
-
Not me , at this stage in my life, I just don't want to learn a new system.
-
I can create "PDF's that when sent, they cannot copy or print using Adobe Acrobat. you can also put them on Adobe's server and that will tell you who downloaded it and when, you can also make it available only when you want. There are other programs out there that will delete the file automatically on their computer on a date you choose without anyone's knowledge. That program is a bit expensive though.

There Was Someone Looking For A Skewed Wall. Here Is One.
DRAWZILLA replied to dssharp's topic in Symbols and Content
Anything deep fried is good to me but the flight to your house might blow the budget. -
Bill, I tried that, did your have the overbuild remain, what's the secret. Also what version.
-
I hardly ever use trusses, I do show existing trusses when present but my cheap builder clients would never want to truss build, ever.
-
Greg ,here we call it California overbuild framing an it's done a lot. In fact , that's the only way you can build it here without putting in extra beams. Weather you put a beam in or not, won't make any difference here. Chief isn't that smart. I still think its a bug.
-
Downloaded it and it's a tough one ,looks like a bug. send it in I tried separating the roof planes, not sure what it is. maybe someone else can do it. Should be something easy if it isn't a bug. Scott I see it in X7 Good it works in an apple machine.
