You move on and see if it corrects itself. At the very least, when you complete your final cleanup you simply pull that little section back.

At first, quick glance, I would have used a wall cabinet and placed it on the the WALLS, NORMAL layer. I may also try to cut and manipulate the wall itself, but not sure if that works well with a side cut.

As Ryan says, the problem is with the room above, you're looking in the wrong place to fix the problem.

Did you set the separation to 0 so that the units bump directly against one another?

As Ryan says you can use doors, but honestly it's just as easy to create a CAD block and put it on there if needed. I have created CAD blocks for my refrigerators and tall linen cabinets that I like to use, same can be done for casement windows..

Hmm...as far as I know we work in 1:1 unless you send it to a blank layout at that scale and export it from there. It's been many, many years since I worked on AutoCAD but he should be able to scale what you send him.

Click just outside the exterior wall to bring up the exterior "room" and hit the MAKE POLYLINE tool to get the info.

The 10/2 rule is for chimneys at the roof line, not vents in the wall.

If that is buried in the wall than why model it? Take care of it in the MEP plan or dashed CAD lines in an elevation view. Having said that. Do you have a duct chase designed yet in the wall. You cannot go horizontal across all those vertical framing members...load bearing or not. You can create the duct with a 3D molding polyline, but again, only if you already have an adequate chase. Also. What type of fireplace insert are you using? What is the combustion source? Can you vent it horizontally by code or manufactures specs? If you can, what is the maximum horizontal run you can vent that particular unit?

To add.... I went back to working on the plan and closed the layout. Now one callout shows the page number and the other doesn't...

Before I report this I want to see if anyone else has noticed. This is not a huge issue, but when I put text in, I need to know the size of my callouts, anyway... I am completing a plan set for a small remodel (though I have noticed it on all my plans) and I have a couple interior elevation callouts. When the layout isn't open, the call outs don't show the page number. When the layout is open, the page numbers come back on. Again, not a huge issue, unless I put text in that needs to be moved later, but it does seem to be a bug. @Dermot report as bug? Has it been reported?

Stop creating a new schedule. Fix the schedule you have once you delete the duplicate. That is why you are getting duplicate numbers in the label, or...you are having cabinets reporting in a different schedule.

Go to cabinet default settings and turn off AUTO FILLER

Don't try to get a doorway in there, create one. Either break the roof plane and pull the bottom section up to create the opening, or cut a hole in the roof plane.

No need to change anything other than select the "room" in the foundation that needs to be a basement and open the dbx. Select to add a floor below the room and set the stemwall height, done.

You need to give that "attic" room a name and floor platform to get a rim joist.
