It didn't work well for me as my old 23" monitors would not do the same resolution height (1440) as the main 32" monitor I had at full width, ie they'd only do 900x1440 so it didn't fill the full 1080p screen in Vertical, so I ended up with more 32" monitors over the next few years as I replaced them. M.

You would also need to add the Roof,Gutters and Roof, RidgeCaps , AND the Framing, Roof, Rafters to that Special No M Layer as well I think. *and any other Items like Roof,Blocking. or Roof Trusses etc as needed , or simply uncheck the M in the ALDO M.

Gets it close for me.................. not sure it is correct though as I don't know the "true height of the building... Not using automatic or using an elevation Region like Mark suggested is likely a better way to go... M.

Nope . Chief does not "Panelize" Walls for convenient Framing , it is assumed the Framer would know how to do that without help, and in my Experience most framers will not give a s*** how chief frames it cos " I've been framing for 30 yrs and know better" M.

As you may have guessed for the lack of replies, not a lot of Chief Users Design Sheds however Chief does it just Fine when needed ( pics below ) Chief has some vertical wood Paneling which is similar to T1-11 in the Siding Library or like me you can make a material from an Image from online or one you've taken yourself. I guess you could make 4'x8' "Sheets" so you could play with Panels but it'd be a lot more work , I'd probably just do that in a CAD Detail with lines. You'll need to : make a "Shed walltype" ( just 2x4 framing and T1-11 Material layers) Change the Roof Plane Surface material to Sheetmetal>Ribbed ( or whichever you prefer, *Note it is not under Roofing Materials but Sheet Metal) Make a Foundation (level 0) , then delete it , so your Floor Framing will build in Chief. Add "Skids" under floor or preferred real foundation. Mick.

7-Zip told me it is actually a .7z file but still opened it there are a number of textures missing though , so you should use Chief built-in Zip Utility instead... File>Backup Entire Plan > (check zip box) > save to Desktop and drag into forum post. M.

There maybe other issues with the island , it looks like the cabinets are showing through the countertop or something else is up , I don't really have time to look more now though.... There are USB outlets in the Bonus MEP libraries No#3 and No#6 BTW M.

Post the plan file , or it's just a guessing game.....and let people know what Version you are using or fill in your Forum signature please. make sure the Plan is closed in Chief when you attach it to a post....or it won't attach. M,

Just a followup , I can tell by the image in the 1st post that you used the Interior Railing Tool ---- note the Drywall below the railing, use the straight Deck Railing Tool or straight Deck edge Tool instead if no railing is required. M.

There is no need to do this as Chief will not print a Sheet if it has nothing on it. ( Other than the Title block and other info created from Page 0 ) M.

There is , but the Macro "reads" the information from what you enter in the Page info in the Project Browser. 1 macro uses the Page Label for the Page Number 1 macro uses the Page Title for the Page Name eg 1st floor Plan. both of these macros are added to text boxes on Page 0 ( see pics) the one for the page or sheet number is already there but maybe using a different macro.... Mick.

They don't if you haven't right clicked them and Edited the Page Information ...ie add the Sheet No# and Page Title. The # makes Chief number the pages consecutively.

It appears the change was made to an existing wall definition - Siding 6 - rather than copying it and then applying the rigid foam layer. (Chief does have a continuous insul. Wall type btw ) however the Framing fixed itself right up when I turned auto wall framing back on in the plan posted above.

It's the Door switch you need apparently , though it doesn't really match the RW Jamb switches I've used....

you just need to change one setting in the Wall, anything, so they are not identical and they won't join up again, doesn't necessarily need to be reverse layers but that works for Railings and interior walls where it doesn't mater which side is the exterior side. M.

Consider moving your Library Locations in Windows 10 to D:\, I have been doing it for years now , this effects Chief too as it places it's Data Folder in My Documents. moving your Pictures, Music, Videos etc will also save alot of space on C:\ if they are in the Default win10 Folders. ...... here is another post on doing that....

I think that plan is from the Original Tutorial in link no# 3 ( re-written this year) and may include features used that Pro does not have or isn't capable of , but you can download the tutorial PDF and check out most of the Settings and see if HD Pro is indeed capable. M.

There are two methods , the double wall approach allows for better two post corners etc and was discovered more or less by accident by Doug(?) while trying the method Glenn posted a couple of years ago. Pretty sure I posted sample Plans for others in a couple of those threads for other to look at..... M.

Yes it works fine , this is the trick to do Fascia Mounted Railing - Search the Topic and you'll find post from me and glenn ...and others about it. M

The OP wasn't using the Bottom Rail , in fact it could be turned off in this plan, hence my suggestion to just lower the P.Solid to the Real World height. M.

Build it like in the Real World that trimboard sits on the plywood ( subfloor) not on top of the flooring............
