  1. All I can say is don't have the plan and layout open at the same time. uses less resources. I have always had to buy a new computer every 5 years. I can go longer by changing out parts and adding memory and the latest video card.
  2. With all the ways you can cut planes, I was thinking close up framing details like you would normally put on a detail page.
  3. Joe, right now I have 350mbs going on, and hardwired, of course I pay extra for that.
  4. Joe , I have looked at your site analysis package and it works great, very easy to add areas, without having to mess around with the macros. Good job. it's a lot easier to add layers rather than trying to adjust the macro, but you also make it easy to do that too.
  5. I think what I'm saying, is that, I really don't need to wait for the edge smoothing to kick in after the fact ,and my system doesn't have to put that regeneration at the end. I also don't have any resolution problems.
  6. I didn't see where Suzy posted a plan. Let the great and wonderful OZ, , I mean Glen answer, he knows. For me sometimes I just manually draw them in.
  7. Actually for me that" Edge smoothing when idol", slows me down. not sure why but I have a very fast system. So I leave it off.
  8. I have seen this also but not hard to fix. I guess once the attic wall is there, you must delete it manually. I usually leave auto attic walls on until at some point along the way ,(never know exactly when that is), I turn them off and usually find a straggler left behind.
  9. Joey, have you explored trying live 3d details yet. I haven't really got into that yet, but been thinking about it. with all the slice options we have now it might just work.
  10. All I know is, that with every upgrade it takes a little more computer power. Never goes the other way.
  11. Thanks Joe, I will be adding it to my template plan, and probably just copying it to the plan
  12. I think Scott is looking for a video on how to add a new area in case you didn't have it in your list. Maybe
  13. I always love it when I sometimes don't explain everything as well as I should, and someone picks up the slack Thanks for that Charles
  14. Nice Joe, it covers everything you might need, can't wait.
  15. yep ,I can go into my 2d cad drawing program to change details very easily and bring them back in.
  16. if that doesn't work, let me know and I'll do it in X8 for you.
  17. it's saved at no scale, not so sloppy and I can change them any time. I have thousands of cad details I brought with me when I first started Chief ,and I'm not about to re-draw all of those so it worked out good for me. Scaling is not an issue for me b/c I don't want anyone scaling the details, always dimension if it needs it.
  18. your room dividers were located to the outer line of the deck I moved them under the out looker beams and made that room separate from the deck room, then it framed ok. you may have to add the side deck that I took away here is your plan fixed SMITH_ADDITION_7TH_IDEA.plan
  19. I always put details directly from the lib. to the layout without any problems, its just you can scale it, which I don't want any, I just want it readable. no scaling details on my plans
