Is there a way to save down a version?
DRAWZILLA replied to Spectrum-Design's topic in General Q & A
You can always copy any plans forward ,so you can keep an old plan unchanged. -
it's only ok if you have one window per wall, other than that manually build
-
Yep, that's what I'm thinking also
-
Scott, nice schedule, I wish every city had something like that, right now I have to search everywhere for the codes.
-
Joe are you having to shut down Chief and re-start to refresh the macro's with the new system? I haven't needed to do that.
-
Nope, most cities in Orange county don't care about this, except L.A. county, they want it. Lots are small and would never pass. There are a couple of cities like Chino hills that want it though. One time I had to remove some (e) patio slab so I could do a room addition.

Zoom out and see where that line leads to.

just lot coverage

The city of Irvine just told me to take that FAR info off the plan and never do it again.--well
-
good idea Joe.

I know you have to make an angled front, then make the back match the front and manually reverse front with back sides, then make the front (which is really the back at this point) as a panel. It takes a bit to get the angle correct but possible. Good luck We were talking about this at Mark's seminar last Friday.

Is that an attic wall? You could just delete that truss and rebuild those roof planes and manually put another truss there

CA X9 19.1.0.47 - Maybe I missed something...
DRAWZILLA replied to contractcad's topic in General Q & A
I have had to change the key from beta to final release as long as I can remember. -
Most cities around here go by the lot coverage codes and those are different for each city, some have the FAR method also. I cannot remember all of them so for each project I have to go to that city's website and read the zoning codes, ordinances and figure it out. I deal with 50 different cities so it's always a crap shoot ,as over the years they all change.. Good luck with this poll.

Thanks Mark, I'll take a look

if all that is possible in Pro , then why don't we all use it? I'll bet the SSA fee is also much less as well ? I say if you are in the business and do extensive Con. Doc's , Primer is the one you need.

because windows lets me change that color to whatever I want or you didn't install the final release version-not sure which
-
Of course, it can be done but you should check out the differences if you want to actually work in the pro version. That's not the typical building Chief gears itself to. Just sending it to the pro version is the easy part. Check out how many pages you can print in the pro version ,at one time, there are lots of other things or I and just about everyone else would be using it.

Just draw it on page "0" and it will show on every page.

Actually in X9 it was moved. Not sure what you are using. What I showed was X9
-
Also for that kind of structure you probably can't mix the pro version and the premier versions. The pro version doesn't have all the tools you will need

Talk about going deep into cabinets, had no idea someone (Mark) could go that deep, and didn't know it was possible.
