I agree a nice selection of used brick has been missing for a long time, you can always go to acme brick and use their program for materials https://brick.com/innovative-online-tools

Half wall intersecting at main wall of shower: tiling issue
DRAWZILLA replied to cv2702's topic in General Q & A
except they go on different layers, I like material regions for showers and custom back splash's for those. -
I would do that in a cad detail of the stairs, the sections that Chief provides are just basic and a lot of things need details to go along with the sections.

Isn't it right there see "include bottom rail" and check it.

I haven't had any roof yet that didn't need some manual fixes after an automatic build--ever
-
If you need a different roof pitch you can find that setting in the wall DBX/ roof tab when you need a different pitch than the default., using automatic roofs.

Yes Shane got it

Nice job Shane, some guys around here would be on 2 years at that stage. The people must love you.
-
Yes you can have changes unless you lock the ceiling joists. I always leave them on until they are just right and not changing anything.

b/c auto framing was off
-
Try to reframe the roof which includes the moldings.. just turn on auto roof framing while you are designing the project but at some point you will need to turn off auto re-build framing and manually adjust .

Referancing foundation plan on framing plan
DRAWZILLA replied to capitaldesigns's topic in General Q & A
I create a new layerset called" referenced to foundation" and reference that to the foundation plan and only show the holdowns and shear walls.that I have actually drawn on the framing plan. You can also do it by putting all the shear stuff on their own layer. -
Combine, merge and/or importing multiple CA drawings
DRAWZILLA replied to No1ZZTopfan's topic in General Q & A
because the symbols will get very large if you include everything, keep them as small as you can. No reason to include things you don't see. Just copy your plans to a new folder and strip them. -
Combine, merge and/or importing multiple CA drawings
DRAWZILLA replied to No1ZZTopfan's topic in General Q & A
I'm not sure if Chief could handle all that in one plan, I would create a symbol of each building and place the symbols in another plan created just for that view. Remove all interior things before creating the symbols of each building. Only problem is if you have changes, you must re-do the symbols that changed.
