still need to do it manually
-
post the plan, it seems like you might have the door or wall not configured correctly.
-
Would be nice wouldn't it.
-
Staples also does it.

Can you try to use the auto storypole dims and do you have your dims setup to locate framing?
-
#1 rule for me is "When in doubt" restart first
-
You can also have different patterns in the stucco or siding material, for new and existing walls. Try to copy whatever material you use and add a custom pattern to create a difference.

The problem is when using Chief's driver is that it creates a huge file size as compared to Adobe and other pdf drivers.
-
The only reason some people keep them is if they help people using older versions or have a lot of older version plans. For me it's better to just bring in older plans and fix them up to work in the current version.

B/c Chief is always adding new tools and lib items
-
Also is your video card drivers up to date?
-
no , I dumped it, only X9 and X10 on my computer
-
nope, don't have it, if I have to I will just trace a plan--started with ver 10

If anyone has a problem with something not showing in 3d ,then just delete that pesky zero layer and it will show again. Had that problem many times.- 11 replies

Thanks for posting the fix.

I only keep X9 and X10 on my system. if I need to bring any plans forward for some reason, it comes in pretty good with minor fixes depending on how old they are. Any older than 2 versions I will copy the old plan to a new template plan.
-
carbonite here also.
-
because if you don't flip them , the two walls will keep joining up to create one wall all the time
-
if you don't want them to show on the foundation plan, put them on their own layer and just turn the layer off in plan view, they can still show on the elevations. you can even put them in a schedule, use a window schedule and just show vents.
-
I think Eric means for you to post the actual plan file
-
I would stay away from the Quadro card use NVidia gtx
-
maybe they are also header lines

What I do for elevations, I actually send to the layout using different anno-sets with thicker line weights for roofs, windows ,doors. I actually have different anno-sets to show different items, like when I don't want to show block walls or fences and just the building. Look to using Anno-sets, IMO they are the best thing Chief has come up with. You can totally adjust the lines to whatever you want and not effect everything else.
