Approval number for 1-hour wall (7/8" stucco & 5/8" type x)
DRAWZILLA replied to dshall's topic in General Q & A
That's the way I have done it also. Nobody has asked me to prove it though. Good luck with this one. Maybe you could make his car payment for a year or so as a sign of good faith. -

DRAWZILLA replied to jmsisco's topic in General Q & A
Some cities around here might have 10 cities ,all with different zoning codes, per zip code. Is this possible with your macro? -

Can I easily copy wall caps to other existing walls?
DRAWZILLA replied to mgianzero's topic in General Q & A
Until Chief comes up with radius corners without using a curved wall, it's just too much trouble for me to mess with. -
search reference sets, I have been doing it that way for many years.

DRAWZILLA replied to PIR-Designs's topic in General Q & A
I have noticed over the many years that Chief will tax your computer a little more with each new version. -

RESOLVED- Is X12 stable now, without crashing?
DRAWZILLA replied to PIR-Designs's topic in General Q & A
I have had X12 for almost a year with no crashes, ever. even early on it was very stable which leads me to believe, its something going on with your computer. -
looks like a modified accessory dwelling unit, lots of new codes on this, The gov has loosened up a lot on this.

try checking the jamb depth to fit to wall and add a casing the same width as the jamb is thick, maybe 1" or so
-
Try the inset setting here.

I think the reason Scott needs the trusses shown is for sections and structural plans to be somewhat accurate. If he didn't show something ,he would catch hell from the plan checkers.
-
Just go to your foundation level and save it as a saved plan view., You can also set up a new layerset for that.
-
Dave, another very nice job.
-
You can do it using rafter tails. A minus number in the extend means the roof will overhang it.

Early when they first started using reputation points, I asked for people to give me down votes to see what happens, after 3 down votes Chief then banned me from the forum for a couple days. I learned my lesson a long time ago.

I still use anno-sets, that trigger layersets and plan views because it's very convenient to load up plan views all at once. these were already set up years ago and I just don't have the time to change it up and eliminate the anno's. I still get the same outcome that I want . I like the setup, maybe when I get a couple weeks break ( ya sure that will happen).

If you look at the min. requirements at chiefs website, they don't recommend Quadro cards

I always just re-start my computer when that freaky stuff happens.

I'm pretty sure it's a free download now, at least a month ago it was.

DRAWZILLA replied to Stevenplane's topic in General Q & A
Move the property lines not the house. Also use the north pointer so the bearings are correct -
