Have you thought about having a base set needed to get a permit for a set price, then giving your customer the option of requesting additional sheets, ie, interiors, landscaping, etc, for an additional fee?

Have you tried the control key?

Not sure if this is what you needed but... Have you tried CAD>Plan Footprint? Plot Plans and Plan Footprints Using the CAD Tools and conventional survey information, you can create an accurate plot plan in plan view or a CAD Detail. See Site Plans Tutorial. A plot plan can be sent to layout and included in working drawings. See Dynamic Views. A plot plan can also be converted into a terrain perimeter, allowing you to add elevation data and accurately position buildings for 3D modeling of home and lot. Plan Footprint Select CAD> Plan Footprint to create a CAD object representing the building footprint in a CAD Detail window. Once the Plan Footprint is created, you can control what information it displays. To create a Plan Footprint 1. Open the plan view that you want to create a Plan Footprint from. 2. Select CAD> Plan Footprint . The program creates a new CAD Detail with the footprint of the current floor. • By default, this new CAD Detail uses the Plan Footprint layer set. You can control what displays in the footprint using the Layer Display Options dialog. See Layer Sets. • You can also control the appearance of a Plan Footprint in its specification dialog. See Plan Footprint Specification Dialog. To insert a plan footprint in a CAD Detail 1. Open the CAD Detail in which you want to insert a Plan Footprint. 2. Select CAD> Plan Footprint . 3. Select the floor to use from the drop-down list and click OK. 4. The floor plan appears in the CAD Detail window. Select Window> Fill Window to center the footprint on screen. 5. The footprint can be rotated and moved anywhere in the window. If the model consists of several buildings, a footprint is created for each. Moving one footprint automatically adjusts all the footprints in order to maintain their relationship. If you edit a plan using Reverse Plan or the Edit Area tools, the plan footprint updates automatically. Dimension lines can be drawn to locate the edges of a plan footprint polyline. Note that if changes to the plan cause the plan footprint polyline to update, any dimension lines that locate it may be deleted as a result. See Dimensions. Layer Display Options When you create a plan footprint by selecting CAD> Plan Footprint while in plan view, the default layer set for Plan Footprints is used. See Layer Set Defaults. When a plan footprint is created by selecting CAD> Plan Footprint while in a CAD Detail, the current layer set is used. See Layer Set Management. Regardless of the layer set in use, the appearance of objects in a Plan Footprint is controlled in the Layer Display Options dialog. Individual objects are on the same layer as in plan view, while the entire Plan Footprint is on the “CAD, Default” layer. See Layer Display Options Dialog. Chief Architect X11 chiefarchitect.com

What I did in the past with large print files was break it down into a smaller file size by printing a range of pages. ie. 1-5, 6-10, 11-15, etc.

The font you like, and all caps or not, and why
parkwest replied to GeneDavis's topic in General Q & A
From a construction viewpoint, when creating a planset, the designer must not lose sight of what is needed when the designer is trying to convey what the customer wants to the construction workers onsite without anyone having to decipher whether something is an 8, 5 or a 3. That is why I like clear, easy to read fonts. BTW, I have never heard a framer or roofer discussing the artistic appeal of the plans... ;-) -

How do you use drone picture shot and place model into?
parkwest replied to dskogg's topic in General Q & A
It would be great if Chief could export directly into google earth. I have had to do this for an apartment complex for preliminary concept approval. I know SoftPlan allows you to export a 3D model directly into google earth. I believe you can import the surrounding area into Twinmotion and Lumion??? That may be the easiest way for you to use your CA model for what I think you are wanting to do with your project. -
I wonder if the F1 key would “help”?

Do you have a list of requirements from your local building department?

Did you use ceiling planes to define your ceiling pitch? -
I concur wholeheartedly with the above recommendation. Another one is “The Visual Handbook of Building and Remodeling.

Annoying truss envelope at tail: how to eliminate?
parkwest replied to GeneDavis's topic in General Q & A
How come you don't go with the engineered drawings of the trusses from the truss manufacturer? -
There are some good videos in the CA Training Videos library. Have you tried there yet? https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/#playlist-108

I have the HP T520 and can't complain... before that I used an HP 450C. Before that I had an HP 1055CM but I didn't use it enough to justify the cost of replacing the large ink jugs all the time when they dried up. Before that I used an HP carousel pen plotter... that was fun to watch... you never knew where it was going to draw next on the paper.

Anyone else experiencing program crashes on the new update
parkwest replied to Renerabbitt's topic in General Q & A
Thanks David. Did the mouse driver and Chief didn't shut down on me this, But... I am suspecting the Nvidia driver update last week may be the problem... I am getting strange results in both CAD programs now. I am getting pointy things showing up and rays of solid planes and dark clouds in 3D??? -

Well, it doesn't appear to be Twin Motion... I completely uninstalled TM and Chief is still shutting down without my permission. -
