I don't remember the secret for X11 but X12 allows you to open multiple layouts. -
With all layers on, the electrical is missing??? That's not good. Us older guys might be blaming it on ourselves when it really might be the software.

Thanks Rob. I will try that.

Actually, I was working with the customer and I told them I was going to remove the loft and re-draw it. They ended up liking what it looked like without the loft area. I don't know why the triangle walls insisted on creeping into the roof area.... but problem is solved for me... for now.

Thank you everyone for all the help.

The interior walls at the bottom of the storage... The dbx for the walls opened on my other monitor that had the exterior showing...

With Sun set at 200 and using an interior light set I can only tone down the glow to a bluish shade???

I have 2 triangle section of walls on each end of my balcony that appear to be glowing. I turned down outside sunlight level to dusk and have a roof over that area... everything looks okay except for those two spots. I included the window view so you can see the sun coming thru the windows doesn't hit the two areas in question. This is done in X12. Any guesses?

You had us guessing on that one. :-)

Thanks Mick I was thinking of lateral forces pushing inward on the stemwall... Hopefully Johnny will let us know... just curious. :-)

Maybe it is being built in an area with expansive soil... but I would think the floor slab would take care of that problem???
-
Why is the concrete stem wall offset on the footing?

I had to relabel all my layout sheets to match a bldg. dept's demand that all sheets follow their labeling protocol... or be rejected. Seems to me it would be easier if each bldg dept would just add their stamps of what the "required" information is that they want to the planset.

Hold harmless/Liability Exemption
parkwest replied to HaywardVT's topic in Building Codes and Compliance
I have a clause saying the first option to resolve a difference in opinions is by using the small claims court system... fast and cheap, and no lawyers. If the amount is over the small claims court's limit, then we proceed to Binding Arbitration.- 13 replies

One of the mistakes I see repeatedly in small businesses is the self-employed "working for wages" without factoring in the total cost of being in business.- 13 replies

What does your lawyer suggest? Seeing how the average factory worker is getting $63/hr, you should price your services to make a profit.- 13 replies
