Roof Collar Ties

We have builder (from not in our area) decide to do an addition to a 50+ yr old home here wo a permit.  He got busted and now is in a hurry for a drawing set to get made and engineers review and stamp,  I am trying to match his build as close as possible for an engineers to use.  One of the things he has done is a rafter roof package.  I want to show the Rafter Collar Ties that he has built.. however I am not seeing this option.  Am I missing it, or so I need to manually model them and copy paste?

I think you have to put them in manually.

Correct.  You can use the Simpson Library for most hangers/connectors.

Why on earth are people doing that? I just did a set for a small camp and the owner/builder isn't pulling a permit. He isn't messing around either. Within two weeks of finishing his drawings he sent pics of the whole thing framed and blacked-in and he even had cmu pilings which I am sure takes longer than a standard slab.

There are peeps who do this, ALOT.  I probably get two clients a year, that end up scrambling after they get busted.  I also know many who believe if its on 50 acres, way back off the road.. it's no bodies business.

Personally I would use Multiple Copy, which would probably have been done faster than typing this lol.
