tjsage1 0 Posted November 25, 2020 In designing a new home with a daylight basement, what would the floor levels be? Would the daylight basement be first floor and the next level be the second? I'm confused and need some help, videos or instructions.
rgardner 147 Posted November 25, 2020 This has been discussed frequently and in quite depth in the forum. I would recommend doing a search for the positives and negatives of the two methods. Method 1: Daylight basement goes on floor 0 (footings and short stem walls on same level) Method 2: Daylight basement goes on floor 1 (footings and short stem walls on 0)
GeneDavis 134 Posted November 25, 2020 Main floor is 1, walkout is 0. Floor 0 walls will be pony walls framed wall up, foundation wall down. The frostwalls and foundation stepdowns will be edited manually by you. There are Chief training videos that give you the how-to.
