Lighted bath mirrors: materials and lighting for realistic rendering
Kbird1 replied to GeneDavis's topic in General Q & A
I thought Chief had some options in the Library now for lit Mirrors.... M. -
Is it a resized symbol perhaps? M.
-
Two thoughts......... Chief will let you Copy a door in place and you can swing the 2nd door the opposite way or you can place a door from the library and slide it in with the CTRL Key
-
Did you zip it ? The plan must be closed in Chief while you do this If still too big draw a small square house and try it in one Corner as a test --- still same issue? post that plan... Nothing personal but you are new to the Forum , and I personally won't download files off an unknown website.... M.

The GT720 is a card that is known to have this issue a couple of people have picked up an AMD Card to suffice till they get a new computer AMD RX 560D-4G D5 from Yeston. 4GB GDDR5

Some Thoughts........ Are you using the Default Chief Theme (colors?) Latest Drivers installed for the 5700XT? macOS over-riding color scheme in Chief? Mick
-
worth a try as it is almost a year out of Date and updating the Video Driver if from the same time period too..... Nvidia or AMD I see no sig , so not sure what the hardware is ....... Mick.

A friend pointed out this one from ABS too , with slightly better components , it has the same Motherboard as I have actually, though I I don't personally know ABS nor have I ever used them so YMMV , ...they are a Newegg Subsidary apparently. https://www.newegg.ca/abs-ali535/p/N82E16883360140?Item=N82E16883360140

@Chiefer Jintu does Rendering : http://www.jintudesigns.com/residential-renderings.html @ericepv as does Eric https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/26082-quality-3d-rendering-floor-plans-and-models-from-us-based-company/?tab=comments#comment-247069 -
you're welcome..... this might help too...... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00032/creating-an-energy-heel-truss.html

Chief places a Newel ( column) where-ever the Railing is broken in some cases you can set the AutoStart End setting to none for the end, but is also looks like you played with the Doorway at the top of the stair that Chief uses to make an opening in the railing as nothing lines up..... or you might need to play with it to fix it ? making the short piece Post to Rail may work too depending on the look needed , beam may need doing manually though... M.
-
This can happen if the Roof Planes are not sitting on the top plate properly ie you raised roof Planes manually to get the right heel height, but Chief will frame the "space" Automatically to support the Roof and fill in the wall M.

Walls>Layers ( Off or On? ) or maybe Main Layer Only is On ? Mick.

Look like the OP has X6 , so the posted advice and symbol may not help him.....unless his Sig. needs refreshing ? M.

Is auto generate Framing on in the Deck Room DBX ? you might want to turn on deck framing , posts, beams etc in the camera view The posts/footings will build down to the Terrain auto ....if you have one ? ( also not displayed in this camera if there?) There are a number of short tutorials in the KB as well if yu are new to Decks and using Railings to define them..... https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/category/226/decks.html https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/18908-signature-here-at-chief-talk/?tab=comments#comment-155662 M.

https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/18908-signature-here-at-chief-talk/?tab=comments#comment-155662 It is always best to post the plan if you can, there are just way too many variables, ie did you accidently spraycan the ceiling ? The .Plan file can be attached to a post but the new Forum now only allows 14mb , so you may need to zip the file 1st, they compress well , however make sure the Plan is not open in Chief when you do it as Chief locks the file and the Zip will be empty. ( 0kb)

Please add this post as a "Sticky" somewhere thanks..... still not sure why new Users aren't ask to fill it in when joining , would help stop Spammers too. @Dan_Park

Chief Architect X13 - Photorealistic ray tracing on a MacBookPro 2020
Kbird1 replied to Benny_G's topic in General Q & A
If the Camera are "Live" I'd try sending them as Images to layout instead. ( my SOP ) and please Report to Technical Support , through your Digital Locker Mick. -
I see you don't like Chief's AO much either ( 8% ) did you try turning the sun setting WAY down ie 500 Lumen not 100,000 * at some point it's good to do your Forum Signature....so people always know what version you are using etc.... Mick.

You can't in a plan that is already drawn ( you could display both if needed with the secondary format.) to Start a Metric Plan , Start by Opening the Plan from Template > and open ResidentalM.plan file ( the M on the end of names indicates Metric templates. )
-
This will likely fix it ....are Electrical Notes Checked to display in the Schedule DBX?

In Plan , with Chief being a 3D Program EVERYTHING, is true to real world or "Life Sized" , and only once sent to Layout is anything "Scaled" , and as Glenn said it is just far easier to work Full Size , a lot of Details can be done with a Backclipped Cross Section for example, ie a typical Wall Cross Section, and then sent to a CAD detail , if needed for Cleanup, or left "Live" ........lot less "hand drawing" that way. Mick.
