  1. Yes I have tried that too actually , it's 6 of one and a 1/2 doz. of the other though It seems in X13 Moldings now wrap properly over End Panels automatically when added though , so I may not need to use Moldings lines for that from now on. It appears we can now setup the reveals on Doors and Drawers per the really world ie door flush at bottom and with a 1/8" Blank at the top get the 3/16th gap to the Countertop too. (pic below) have not figured out why the 1x3 is missing in Elevation though. M.
  2. I never said it was new, ( as noted in my X12 plan too) I was wonder why it was happening and shouldn't be. With Doors and Drawers I understand it as I assume CA is simulating the Bumper as well at the 3/4" thick Door , but there is no need or justification for it on Panels since the Doors and Drawers already have Reveals. In my case it is frustrating as I now have two Clients who want Panel thickness noted as well, and it has to be done manually, then faked by moving the CAD line 1/16th. M.
  3. Usually associated with Multi Monitor setups and having the Sidebars ( PB, Lib. ,ALDO) on other screens M.
  4. I had a play in a X13 Test Plan tonight and the Dims are behaving in a X13 Plan based on the X13 Residential Template, so some of the Issues I was seeing in My Client's X12 plan , may have something to do with how/what is done with X12 ( and earlier ) Plans when brought into X13 , ie they didn't have the opening or Door Snaps and perhaps they are being enabled in X13 when brought forward by default , but "under the hood". I'd still like to know why CA is adding a 1/16th space ( reveal?) between the Box and End Panels as can be seen above. this is my 1st time see the disappearing Hardware in Elev. Views too but AFAIK that is being worked on. Not sure why my Crown Moulding flat stock is not showing in Elevation either or why Framed Doors don't show properly in a CS through the Cabinets but the Slab Drawers are. * I really wish the lines from the "fake" Frameless wouldn't show in CS as well or be 3" wide so they look like the normal Rails.... Mick.
  5. Yes , don't use the Paint Can Tool on Exterior Walls instead make two different Wall Definitions and apply them as appropriate. M.
  6. It appears the old trick of making uneven countertop overhangs to go over a Built-in Fridge or Dishwasher no longer works either....
  7. I need to play more , but I am not sure this is working as expected currently as shown yest. the 2'9" dim. still snapped to the opening even though it is not visible, or one of the default dimension "points to find". * Not sure if this could be related to a brought Forward Plan (X12) M.
  8. I would say yes and it is the Reach (default 24") that makes a Manual Dimension so "messy" as shown in my earlier pic - even though pulled on the base cabinets it is still picking up the Uppers as well , try 4" and see the difference..... some more tips here...... Specific to X13 https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/1595/dimensioning-cabinet-face-items-and-openings.html?playlist=92
  9. I had a quick look and I think you would benefit from some Cabinet Specific Dimension defaults, including shorter Reach ( 4") * I still think there are problems though.
  10. The 2'10" dim is snapped to the Corner/Side of the Cabinet, the 2'9" dim is snapped to the Panel on the left, but X13 is setting Panels 1/16th off the cabinet box it appears hence the two lines... ( and the gap between ) M.
  11. weird cos that ain't the trees I am seeing , though it's in my Library , there is 2 each of...... see pic above C:\ProgramData\Chief Architect Premier X13\Referenced Files\CorePlantFiles.zip#zip:Adult -- Picea pungens(h1444).png C:\ProgramData\Chief Architect Premier X13\Referenced Files\BonusPlantsTrees.zip#zip:Adult -- Calocedrus decurrens(h1673).png C:\ProgramData\Chief Architect Premier X13\Referenced Files\CorePlantFiles.zip#zip:Abies balsamea 1.png
  12. Possibly the textures were corrupted during the Migration process from X10>X12 ? Hmmm Glen just posted ....funny how MACs have Issues and PC don't ........ I do have all libraries installed though I think.... Mick
  13. Its a Client's plan ( Co. Template) , I used to show the issue, so I can't do that..... Mick.
  14. I don't think it is "you" , The rest of the guys just wanted help by checking / looking at your defaults I believe to see if it was a setting issue ( a test plan with a couple of cabinets would do), that being said I am seeing Dimensions snapping to things in X13 I can't see even eg the opening even though it is not displayed or set in defaults as one of the options ( one of the new options along with Doors) Eg here on the Right it has snapped to the opening ( 2'9" dim) ....on the left it has snapped to the Panel and the Panel is showing 1/16th OFF the Box. * this is an X12 Plan brought into X13 ( if it matters? )
  15. I had Issues when I got my new Computer with the Beta , but am not sure if the Public Release or me copying my X12 Toolbars folder into X13 fixed it as I have not had an issue for a while, but I have mostly been in X12 finishing Projects there of late , so it may just take some time ? I did not have Issues in X12 with this though.... I had this Issue 1se with the offset dropdowns , then I had the fully corrupted Toolbars like you after that. https://chieftalk.chiefarchitect.com/topic/30482-menu-bug-issue-a-different-one/?tab=comments#comment-241177
  16. this plan works fine in X12 and X13 here.... when was the last time you updated your Videocard Drivers?
  17. I'll take your word for it , I may have been thinking of Notes and the ability to add an Arrow Request, however I do use arrows with RCs but have to do it manually so a connected arrow ( same layer as RC) would be a Nice Option. M.
  18. You can also , with both versions Closed , goto your X13 Data Folder>Toolbars Folder and Rename it Toolbars.old ( saves folder for backup , instead of deleting it) and then copy the Toolbars folder from the X12 Data Folder into the X13 Data Folder and restart X13. Mick.
  19. Fill Window will show you everything in the Plan , it may not be within your current Sheet though.....
  20. I agree we all need it..... * missed the plan above.....
  21. Probably an issue with your Panel Symbol ?, can't you use an Open Railing and the Middle Rail instead of a Panel for that? *post the test Plan for people to have a "play for you" Is this Railing Code Compliant where you are? or is deck less than 24" off the ground? M.
  22. Yes, seems a bit silly to me as I am not sure what is so "special" about RCs, that doesn't allow attaching like a text box. I have seen requests for the option to add an arrow to a RC but so far it hasn't happened. M.
  23. Open the Arrow DBX for those settings but I have found arrows don't like Revision Clouds much in the past so YMMV.
  24. In elevation you have to convert the RAILING to a Wall, (uncheck railing) pull the bottom down 8" and then turn Railing back on
