I ran into this the other day while helping another User , His walls were (unknowingly) reversed and Windows were facing the wrong way when placed, so when he turned off Interior Trim, the Exterior Trim actually disappeared in the Exterior Camera View, and reversing the Wall (Layers) did not Flip the Windows , so the fix took more work than expected. Chief has stated on the Forum that AMD released a new Consumer Driver for AMD Cards to fix issues in Chief , BUT I believe that was on Windows 10 Desktops , some are reporting similar issues on macOS Laptops but is seems AMD has not updated those drivers , at least not as yet, so I'd suggest you make a Tech Support case and report it to Apple.. Thanks Kevin , you should be able to export the Chief Material once in your Library, ( looks like whole plan on DB?) and post them in the Symbol Forum if you'd like to share the Towel or Tile Materials etc. people are always happy to have choices.... Maybe it is a bug? as I am not sure why Chief is Showing these as Interior Windows in X13? (my example is in an exterior Wall.) previously you had to Tab in but the Casing was already seperated

They do look like the Terrain's geometry Lines (Triangles) , though I have no idea why you are seeing them ...and have no way to test sorry. Did you try a different PDF Printer? Edit : I downloaded the PDF CS linked to above and the bad Lines were barely visible after reprinting the PDF to BullZip PDF Printer ...but still there..... I am surprised this is back after 2-3 yrs , though personally I have not noticed it...... not macOS thing as CS has Windows.... @Anne_S Mick.

I believe Michael is right , though I thought with Box and Bay windows it had always been that way ie Tabbing through to the Window to alter Trim Mick.

Thank for the Update Kevin , apparently the "fix" is well above my pay-grade but it looking good in the pic now..... Dustin is one of the guys at CA who does this for them and looks after the Substance Player thread / Program for CA so maybe he can enlighten you on the workflow for Chief..... And maybe for PixPlant if CA uses it too? @CADustin

I hear ya what about putting A-1# and having 5 Blank pages ,..... I haven't tried it ...... but I believe this is something that has been asked for numerous times but I am not sure of any changes in X13 , you might have to wait for Michael or Joe to respond ... @Alaskan_Son M.

Ahhhh , that is not what you wrote above though so it isn't working as expected..... A-# just causes Chief to numbers pages consecutively and A-16 would not be considered the start point as there is no A-1 Which maybe the Fix? ie: add 15 blank pages before page 1 ? ( which don't print if Blank ) Michael or Joe may have a Macro though or know another Technique. Mick.

I have a Program called PixPlant ( $37 for 1 person businesses BTW ) to help with seamless textures but I have not been able to get the 3D mappings to work/look correct in Chief, so just use the Textures. I had thought it maybe an Issue with PixPlant, but now I am thinking otherwise....... Also there is a known Issue with Macrium Reflect : This is personally experienced, so maybe System dependant? however neither Macrium or Chief Support were able to help. While Macrium backups of C:\ Drive are running Chief will (can) experience Lockups / Lockouts, where you can't do anything in Chief, for me these Lockouts last in the range of 3-9 mins IF Chief tries to make a Plan or Layout SAVE ie. Auti-save, Auto archive and also manual saves. for me the only "Fix" was to move all Macrium Backups of C:\ Drive to times outside hours I am not normally using Chief. Backups of D: E: F: Drives etc do not seem to effect Chief at all, only C:\ Backups , it seems to me Chief can't write to the SSD Disk so it just "waits" till it can and then things go back to normal. Decks don't have Roofs by default , turn it on, on the Room's Structure Tab did you draw the enitre 2 storey house? if not Draw a full 4 sized box house then the Wall won't flip when you add the deck Alt-Q should also let you turn off the Auto Flip of Walls. Mick.

In the other Thread you are in, Alastair got a new AMD Card for his Older Prebuilt ( your 645 does not have Shader 6) and JTCapa a 3060Ti I didn't pay double over Retail for my 3080 but I did pay a Large Premium approx 50%...... 3-4 months ago... and I had to buy other parts as well ( a bundle to get it ) ..... the longer you can wait the better but it may take so time to come down still.

Yes if system is only for Chief 32GB is enough , use the extra money elsewhere or save it Laptops with 3070 or 3080,s are fairly new and I don't follow the segment much now I have my Asus with a 2070Super , So I cannot comment on the overheating Issues Mark is referring too. The 3060Ti is a good choice I think , just know it will not compete with a 3060Ti Desktop edition due to Laptop Power Limiting. Even my Desktop 3080 is (artificially I believe) power limited but Runs X13 fine , though I am not happy with RT-PBR Views especially in Plans brought forward. Mick

I just worry that some are spending on a feature that is not yet mature in Chief ( RT-PBR ) , ie I got a new desktop for the same reason ( 3080 ) and wonder why sometimes.... No , this is the right place , you are asking for help , not presenting a Tip for others. Personally I'd use P.Solids and make a symbol or as seen below, I Used Railings just now, which can also be saved to the Library and the final configuration can also be converted for future use into a Symbol too. floor is at -1 " default is 0" in chief on main floor Should the Roof baseline be at 4.8 degrees ? ie angled .....RBL does not = Roof pitch unless roof pitches in 2 directions? Bit hard without the Plan, try zipping it when closed in Chief 1st or it won't zip properly. Mick

Yes and No Rich The 1660 will only give you X12 Cameras and none of the new features , basically you will have x12 cameras only without a 2000 or 3000 series Nvidia RTX graphics card. I would not recommend Acer either ( that one is already a Refurb) look at Asus or MSI perhaps and check out Memory Express but expect to spend closer to $2-2.5K M.
