  1. Change the wall type to framed wall for a short wall that includes the door.
  2. Great idea! Did you submit this to CA?
  3. Sounds like you are dodging an iceberg. If you think this client could be dangerous, I would settle ASAP with a signed release reviewed by an attorney. I would give up the plan file stripped of CAD details and other template items, but only a PDF of the layout file stripped of notes and your title block and information, and get whatever compensation you can negotiate, if any. Life is too short. Best, Charles
  4. Same as any structure: HELP
  5. I would use landings, countertops (can have moldings attached to them), soffits (can have moldings attached to them) or just moldings by themselves, depending on the detail required, but if you want simple you could just use the stairs tool.
  6. Just create it with the stair tool. Then you can create a symbol or not. Stairs - Ship & Library.calibz
  7. I think you guys are talking two different things. A ZIP panel replaces the sheathing and the house wrap and is 7/16" thick.

  9. I suggest that anybody using any code invest the time in organizing it by bookmarking and annotating the most used sections. I did it on the fly a little at a time as I applied a section to a project so it was not a show-stopper. Then I use the previous code to organize the next. (Actually I usually use the previous code and check the latest code for changes, then update every other issue.)

  11. Round or square? Square per above. Round, can also use a 3d molding in elevation.
  12. Hang in there Jim! We have all missed something while learning this software. You will see basic tips posted on here all the time that one of us long-term users will reply "Thank you" because they did not know that. Yes, you are missing an important one but get a little training and you will be back on track and so thankful! Best, Charles
  13. Adjustable TV Stand I upgraded to a Sony 50" 4k. The larger size is great but you have to decide on your physical setup. You have to keep the monitor low enough not to hurt your neck from too high of a sight angle. I moved my toolbars to the bottom of the screen which helped a lot. Then, I moved the new 50" monitor just off of my desk and mounted on an adjustable floor stand which works really great. I highly recommend this stand. I lowered the tv to just above the desk and do not use the shelf.
  14. I also use WeTransfer.com. Works great.
