  1. OR, just delete all that you do not want by holding the delete key down, take a screen shot, then hit cancel to void the deletions. Charles
  2. In most parts, you can only get precut studs for 8, 9 & 10' ceilings.
  3. BTW, the rough ceiling elevation should be 121 1/8" in order to use pre-cut studs, double top plate and a single bottom plate like usual.
  4. Howdy Brent, You are showing rough ceiling elevation in the first pict and finish ceiling elevation in the second pict. Charles
  5. I thought David Potter helped with that is his video. Did you watch that?
  6. Your edge rafter (in red) is 11 1/4" instead of 9 1/4" like the rest. Change that to match.
  7. This problem is usually caused by one or two things: 1. The exterior wall layer is setup as a main layer in the wall definition instead of an exterior or interior layer. 2. The framing wall layer is not marked as framing.
  8. Howdy Larry, Yes, it works for me. Check that your tray ceiling layer is not locked... Sorry if I misunderstood your earlier post. Best, Charles
  9. You are welcome! Other considerations may be: lack of rain screen or a moisture barrier on exterior of exterior wall lack of air spacing or furring on interior of exterior wall using CMU at 8 inches instead of 7 5/8 inches
  10. Your wall layers are not set up correctly.
  11. I turned off all auto framing and that helped speed up one plan in X14 and X13 (same plan).
  12. In addition, you probably need to extend the lower roof plane backwards or break the upper roof plan and bring it forward, depending on where you want the attic wall.
  13. Thx for sharing! Best, Charles
  14. Not just you. Did put this in suggestions? If, not please do. I will also.
  15. I add a hyperlink in Adobe with a text that says ± "SEE 3D MODEL HERE".
  16. Extend the railing wall a couple of inches. Make sure you are on Floor 2 and have the correct wall. Now someone make the drywall wrap properly...
  17. From a recent post: Curved Trusses: 1. Use CA truss tool to get this curved bottom truss started by using a curved ceiling plane. 2. Use solids in elevation. Solids allow you to have the wood grain longitudinal on each long side and across the ends by copying the material, rotating it and saving it as another material. 3. Use 3D moldings in elevation. The wood grain will be longitudinal on all sides.
  18. You may want to separate those two requirements and let a designer design and an engineer engineer.
  19. Howdy Rob, I cannot explain how you got there because I do not know the plan's history. My guess is that you edited an auto generated roof plane AND said okay to the warning that popped up saying that you had auto roofs on. From the X13 help file: "When an automatically generated roof plane is modified, the program marks it as "edited", giving you the option of retaining it when the roof is rebuilt. Uncheck this box to remove this status from the selected roof plane. See Rebuilding Roofs. Mark as Edited is only available for automatically generated roof planes. If a manually drawn roof plane is selected, the words Manual Roof Plane will display here instead." I hope that helps. Charles
  20. Just uncheck "Mark as Edited" and rebuild to see if that is the (only) problem.
