  1. Well looky looky, I zoomed out about a mile and there they are.
  2. I had my plan and layout complete and my clients then wanted me to reverse it. I used the "Reverse Plan" option and my layout was a mess with multiple views flat out missing and the note callouts missing from my front elevation. Is this consistent with the problems you've seen and why you recommend using the "reflect about" method?
  3. No I did not and that is exactly what I needed. I checked the box and deleted the attic walls and this is the result. Still a little funkiness going on but I can live with it. Thank you everyone for all your help.
  4. Got it. I may have to do this manually, I don't see any reason to break this wall with plates (and I obviously need to get my framing reference set correctly for the 1st and 2nd floors to get those studs lined up).
  5. I built my wall framing. I don't see a spot in the dialog box where I can just do the attic walls.
  6. Thanks for the responses. Here's the back-clipped view. I think this is helpful. I just wish I could get the attic walls to show because I will probably want to run those studs full length.
  7. I'm doing a story and a half plan with the north wall being a very large gable with balloon framing at the stairs. I want to do a full framing elevation of the entire wall but the "Open Wall Detail" will only allow me to select one section (1st floor or 2nd floor) at a time and I can't get a wall detail of the attic walls at all. Is there a way to accomplish this that I'm not aware of? As an example, here's the 1st floor wall detail and a shot of the entire elevation. How do I show the entire north wall framing? Thx
  8. @rgardner - I didn't downvote your response. I actually really appreciate it when people take time out of their busy lives to help me while I'm trying to learn how to use Chief. And we Washington Staters need to stick together.
  9. For the life of me I can't get the gap out of these two walls. I'm sure it's something basic I'm not doing but I couldn't find a solution. https://1drv.ms/u/s!AicefBJfAFklkV8DHLSgk1K_z97h
  10. I don't know why that's happening (which makes my comment somewhat pointless) but that birdsmouth cut is way too deep. Code around here is no more than 1/3 of the rafter depth can be removed for a birdsmouth.
  11. Mick and everyone - Thank you.
  12. Thanks KBird The problem was a legacy issue from starting out on Home Designer. I did what you suggested and any new plans using the provided templates have the correct default sets. Unfortunately the plan I was working on did not update so I'll have to figure out a workaround (or redo it).
  13. I'm new to CA and I've noticed I only have a single default set - the "1/4" Scale annotations". When I downloaded CA should there have been more or do I have to create all of the others I see listed in videos by scratch?
