  1. Pretty much across the board with all DBXs and any kind of view other than plan view. It may have nothing to do with Chief, but whatever it might be, it coincided with the last update. No crashes or hangs; just some slowdown. I'll be interested to hear your observation.
  2. No crashes, but everything seems a bit slower (barely noticeable) with the last (fix) update. Maybe a Mac/Chief thing? But no recent Mac update.

    Notes

Many notes in Library>Core Catalog>CAD Blocks>Designer Blocks>Notes and Legends. Great place to start, though you may have to explode and edit them to wind up with what you want. Once you do, create a Block and save it to your User Library for future use.
  4. Agreed! Overall slower even with "small" plans and simple tasks.
  5. Grab bars, including vertical, are in the Core Catalog under "Hardware>Bathroom Hardware".
  6. I think the "symbol" text may be controlled by the note itself. Open the note, change "Character Height".
  7. Possibly create a 25-1/2", frameless dishwasher cabinet? Dishwasher will slide in, "cabinet" stays in tact and you have control over both labels. Dishwasher "cabinets" (really just 2 sides) are sometimes used for "orphaned", stand-alone dishwashers. Just a thought.
  8. Pretty please, with sugar on top.
  9. That worked for me too. Just had to be re-framed.
  10. Bonus Catalog>CAD Blocks and Details>CAD Details>Sections>Hot Humid Climates>Energy Efficient Wall Section..... might work as a good staring point.
  11. STYLE> Closed Stringer removes the middle stringer
  12. Check Bonus Library>Exterior Attachments>Cupolas & Weathervanes?

    Main menu>View>Tool Palette
  14. It's perhaps annoying to have to resort to a "manual" fix, but if you select the dimension string, just click "Edit Extensions" and just drag the extensions to whatever location (length) you want.
  15. In the main menu, go to Window>Fill Window. There is also a button for it in the "Zoom" toolbar. Chief's version of "Zoom Extents" in other software.
  16. Hi, You might have a default door header that's getting in the way. Going to "Framing" in the Door DBX, uncheck default header and un-click "include header".
  17. With latest version I can still move with DBX. Hmmm.....
  18. Build Roof>Ignore Top Floor.
  19. You could try to copy and paste into the Open Below Room, and in the object DBX change the "Absolute" elevation to 0. The object should remain visible in plan, but not in elevation. You will, however, now have two couches in the same place on floor 1.
  20. Windows® Update maybe. Someone else mentioned trouble following a very recent update.
  21. Same here. Seems to be down. (Sunday maintenance?)
  22. Maybe try again with "Lock Floor Top" checked?
  23. Time and again there are ideas and discoveries shared here that I have yet to see in the help files, and sometimes the help files are not really of very much help. One man's "new discovery" may well be another man's "trivial item".
