  1. Most cities around here go by the lot coverage codes and those are different for each city, some have the FAR method also. I cannot remember all of them so for each project I have to go to that city's website and read the zoning codes, ordinances and figure it out. I deal with 50 different cities so it's always a crap shoot ,as over the years they all change.. Good luck with this poll.
  2. if all that is possible in Pro , then why don't we all use it? I'll bet the SSA fee is also much less as well ? I say if you are in the business and do extensive Con. Doc's , Primer is the one you need.

  4. Of course, it can be done but you should check out the differences if you want to actually work in the pro version. That's not the typical building Chief gears itself to. Just sending it to the pro version is the easy part. Check out how many pages you can print in the pro version ,at one time, there are lots of other things or I and just about everyone else would be using it.

  7. Also for that kind of structure you probably can't mix the pro version and the premier versions. The pro version doesn't have all the tools you will need
  8. I've talked to HVAC contractors and they don't even know how to do it, without talking to an HVAC engineer.
  9. Talk about going deep into cabinets, had no idea someone (Mark) could go that deep, and didn't know it was possible.
  10. I would suggest getting the Premier version if you are serious about the unusual buildings like you show.
  11. But p- solids won't frame like a ceiling plane will.
  12. other guys using Mac,s are not having that problem, must be on your side, Computer, setting somewhere.

  16. That is the question I can't find them but I know they are there but only in the core lib. When I select a roof material from the core lib. there is a map listed in the DBX. they must be imbedded in the material.
  17. Well, maybe b/c I just don't get those pesky crash's. fairly new computer and I always clean old files and clean the registry, almost daily
  18. Rule of the story is to get into the habit of hitting save every chance you get, I know I do. Never lost anything yet.
  19. You can also use the "Edit Wall intersection " tool on the edit toolbar after you select a wall
  20. Do you have cad lines selected in the "locate to" section of the DBX. of the type of dimension you are using?
  21. The parallel tool also does perpendicular.
  22. Room dividers will only stay as is ,if there are no differences in heights (floor or ceiling). It will frame the space between those hights
