  1. Dennis , how's that golf game coming.
  2. The only way I know of opening more than one plan view is multi-selecting from the project browser.
  3. You can also open up all the views at the same time to click back and forth between all the views to work on.
  4. Select the dormer walls and just cut--paste hold to the next upper level.
  5. MOVE THE DORMER WALLS TO THE ATTIC FLOOR ABOVE, THEY WILL LOOK THE SAME IN CAMERA VIEWS AND BE GONE FROM THE LOWER FLOOR.
  6. Larry, one thing is that there is an exterior and interior side of an interior wall. it controls things like exterior and interior side of doors and casing, etc. Also which side dimension's are connecting too, depending on how you set it up. Nice video.
  7. well ,you could use the export Chief 3d viewer, it almost the same as a walk through but the client can move around wherever they want to view. Chief has the file on their servers.
  8. here is a way to do tage within Chief, did this a long time ago.
  9. turn on automatic framing in deck defaults
  10. I like saved plan views, didn't at first but learned as I went along during early phase testing. The only problem I have is I'm changing the view accidently , then go to the layout and find the 2nd floor showing on the 1st floor plan. I wish there was a pop up stating that I changed the plan view so I could answer no I don't want to change the plan view on the layout. Other than that it's great for me.
  11. That's how I do all my patio covers, very fast for standard patio covers.
  12. I have no idea, except that I have always not used the XOR ever for anything
  13. I have never used the XOR setting for that
  14. Nice, I'll look into those.
  15. Bryce, how do you like sitting on that ball, I'm sure I'd pop it.
  16. You can always Pre send Your elevation to a Layout template And it will always stay that way
  17. It depends greatly on where you are and your skill level.
  18. I don't have 4k, but just make sure your video card can handle it, I know people here have them without any problems though.
  19. You can always just turn off all framing in that camera view for now.
  20. Learn something new everyday. I have never been asked for a UL listed wall, just fire-rated.
  21. Never seen a "UL" listing for an as built in the field wall, these listing are usually for manufactured items and shipped to the field, like a metal fireplace. Fire rating ,yes. Some pre-manufactured walls might have one though
  22. For me if trusses are required I just set up all ceiling and roof framing to 2x4 mostly, I then add a note to the sections that, the trusses are designed by others and will add the new truss plan, by the manufacturer to the plans I draw
  23. Around here ---no permit means you could lose your license if caught.
