It does attach and do it all the time without any issues, don't know why you have problems
-
I somehow missed that great tip, thanks

You can always just copy your floor plan dimensions , go down to the foundation level and paste there.

An extra layer can work for a deck but not for a room with a partial deck -

I guess you could make it no material or air space -

You can't do anything with that, what you have to do is place your own p-solid there, then you can have it thicker and any material you want -
I don't think so, for me maybe more than 90% of all mirrors I see are just flat thin mirrors with no frame.
-
turned it in as a bug ,and they basically told me that a thin mirror doesn't work so I have to use a lib. mirror with a frame, that is one of those things that should have been fixed a long time ago. 90% of all mirrors have no frame.

when you go up to the attic level you should be able to see the attic walls, maybe they are turned off? you can always check the wall below to balloon through ceiling and it should go to the roof. Using that method means you will not see any attic walls though.

That's nuts, I can't put an 8" thick mirrors on any plan. Thanks for checking that out ,I was about to quit drawing forever, but I decided to write bad check's instead
-
ty it using a p-solid or a material region--no frame, it really should work buy doesn't--why
-
ok , Graham, that's great but I don't use lib. mirrors with a frame, I use a p-solid with the mirror material on almost every mirror I do.. That's how we do it here most of the time.
-
ok, so what's wrong with this pic.?
-
Sorry Joe ,mirrors don't reflect off each other unless you use a different material like Graham did.been that way forever. I don't see where you proved it.
-
Thanks Graham, nice, now I get it.
-
What I said is that another mirror will not reflect from the original mirror 2 mirrors won't work correctly.
-
Chief has never been able to reflect a second mirror from the 1st mirror.

Model 4 differnt wall types in same elevation
DRAWZILLA replied to Evolution's topic in General Q & A
You can also use the wall material region tool for those types of walls with different materials. -
I save by version (X-10) . and actually have a new folder for every version, then in those folders I use job name folders and put everything do with that job in that job name folder, photos and all pdf's etc. as for plans I just use floor plan 1,2,3,4,5 for the changes and I always know the last number is the latest. Only need 1 layout and just change the linked plan file to the layout

open the computer case and try working with it open, just in case it's heating up to hot. Computers do funny things when they get too hot. Also check to see the fans are working.

are you talking about battered walls, thicker at the base? If so chief doesn't do that yet. windows and doors just won't work with roof planes, solids. maybe some can do it but not using the standard tools.
-
Also remember to turn off auto deck framing when modifying a deck already built or it will change back.
-
Thanks for the info.

Also you should uncheck the corner post in the window DBX. Not sure what version you have.
