And be carful the new label for that window will be placed exactly under the below label so you will need to move one of them to see it.

The only thing is that you can only delete one page at a time, so we must go thru each page. what would be nice is if we could delete or edit all pages. now that would be a time saver.

that site has been around for at least 15 years, I saw it when I started using Chief, I wonder if any of those details have been updated since.

Roof Framing Out of place + Not trim to soffit
DRAWZILLA replied to WhistlerBuilder's topic in General Q & A
I'm pretty sure that you aren't allowed to trim any I joists, look in the manufacture's specs. Trimming destroys the integrity of them.. -
I use a back clipped cross section and only extend it across 1 truss and get a clean look.
-
THE OUTLETS are now surface mounted so any outlet will attach to a cabinet or a wall. You can also rotate it in 3d for horiz.

I don't understand how Chief determines the "default" CAD Layer
DRAWZILLA replied to rlackore's topic in General Q & A
Learn to use Anno-sets, that will change your cad layer to whatever you want. -
I don't think Chief has ever done anything with this tool, at least since I've been around.

Slab AND rim joist bearing on foundation wall
DRAWZILLA replied to PorkRibs's topic in General Q & A
here is an oldie but goodie for stem wall to slab -
, if available for your version. You can also just use the straight deck edge tool--no railing
-
Many years ago we have asked for sloping decks. Chief just doesn't do that yet. I have done a roof plane but then you have to do a workaround for the railing. Right now we just have to handle this with cad details
-
the railing wall with the newels, set them to "0" width and place using the post tool or p-solids.
-
any difference with doors will give you a separate listing. The doors you show are not identical as you say
-
Just copy your plan on the layout sheet and crop it to show just the garage..
-
for me the face brick should be a deferent than the box or chimney brick material b/c it always is.. . I always have to move the fireplace as far back in the wall as possible and use p-solids for the face and hearth.
-
When you remodel older homes, these are pretty standard and I will have something like this in every job I draw and Chief has not updated this tool since I've been around , almost 14 years now.. Chimneys have always been a p-solid and manually done.
-
You could also create a Manual. slab for that , just use the slab footing tool, then place the slab anywhere you want
-
Floor framing, finishes etc gone but not forgotten .. ?
DRAWZILLA replied to basketballman's topic in General Q & A
Try to turn on "Rooms" layer in that camera view. -
Nvidia just put out an update today. Who knows?
-
I already donated mine a while back ,and the person got the envelope but the hasp broke out of the envelope and was never seen again.

It looks like your rafters are different sizes from the pic.

I don't use Chief's PDF printer, print straight to Adobe and I always print in color but be careful on what colors you use b/c using color off is greyscale, which color you use will matter, try to use a darker color and not use any light colors unless you want to have a light gray color or just use a light gray for those. You can test your colors by using the color off icon to see what it looks like in greyscale.
-
For me, when looking at a whole 24 x 36 page it looks light, and a bit of greyscale but when I print them, they come out just fine. I have Adode pro DC.
-
Joe, is this something you will be selling?
-
I wish that was the way down here but it's unfortunate that won't work in this area, they want a stamp on everything and that's what I have do for 40 years now.
