Can't you use the include or not include each room in the schedule DBX.for each room, I do it for room additions b/c I don't want the existing house in the schedule.
-
Nothing special, just renders with no tweaks, they are much better now using the PBR through.
-
I have all my details ( 1000 or more) in the lib. also, the only thing is you can't send them to the layout at any scale , so I note in the layout no scale . the time it would take to re-draw all my details would not be worth it for me b/c most of the details were brought in from a cad program 15 years ago.. How boring would that be. Wish there was an easier way.

Rene, nice video, it seems to explain it all. Lots to ponder. I do lots of mostly con doc's so never get into that much detail with my renders, Scott and I call our renders "Crappy renders" mostly b/c we didn't want to wait for ray-traces. Thanks for the lesson and tweaks to get them better.

I will sometimes use a soffit for ceiling beams and add a molding to it, but if the soffit is sloping the molding won't show in any views or cameras. There are lots of uses for that if it worked.

Glass shower door in glass wall above curb and pony wall
DRAWZILLA replied to Ver1tas's topic in General Q & A
got it, in that case I might just use 2 separate walls and a p-solid for the opening and an invisable room divider if you need a room defined. -
Also. too bad we can't add any moldings to a sloping soffit.

Glass shower door in glass wall above curb and pony wall

Couldn't you just use a doorway for that? -
of course it looks light looking at the full page but when you print or zoom in it looks correct to me.
-
Thanks Joe.

I'll take your word for it on your end, I just don't see a problem when printed on my end. What version of Adobe do you use?
-
I just don't see any problems with your example there. Zoom in and see the difference, looks good to me.
-
Yes ,I never use Chief's PDF b/c of the file size, I use Adobe Acrobat DC so I wouldn't know.
-
Joe I'm turning blue and might die.. Any changes to your current macros with X11 ?
-
I find that PDF's look light on the screen but print out ok.
-
I'll bite Joe.

That could happen with any software developer.

Larger text for Surface Mount Electrical
DRAWZILLA replied to MikeR1969's topic in Symbols and Content
You can always create a electrical schedule where it would create a label for them that is easier to read. -
electrical, framing and foundation and whatever view you have will have their own reference sets per plan view sent to the layout. I have my template plan set that way so its automatic and of course already sent to my template layout.
-
I didn't like plan views at first but now that I understand them, I love them.
-
try adding some lights to the scene. it 's all about lighting. Even light sources will work and they don't show in the plan.
-
A simple text macro might work for you, change the macro and all instances will change automatically..

here in California we have had to do the energy thing since the 1070s and it gets more complicated every couple years. in 2020 every new home must have solar
